They all look ai, especially the kid at the bottom whose hair is the only thing in the pic. If he has 5 kids that is probably supposed to be his daughter.

They all look weirdly posed too, but with the warhammer 4k tank in the back I think it might be real and they are all just weird looking.

analogous to saying “i’m a pro wrestler. i beat my wife and kids. to shield them from senseless violence would be a mistake” or “i work at wendys.”

    Here’s the full article

it also helps my kids prepare for the world they’re entering

I homeschool all five of my kids

All of the kids have AI on their phones and tablets, and it acts as their tutor.

Because of course limiting contact with the outside world and basing almost their entire education on fucking ChatGPT won’t hurt them at all in the long term.

in Germany this would be grounds enough to call the youth welfare department and remove him as a father. Holy fuck. I feel so sorry for all the homeschooled kids in the US. This is not okay, he is throwing away 5 lifes.

I was homeschooled. It’s a horrible practice for so many reasons. Luckily my parents enrolled me in college (dual enrollment) early and I was able to get a halfway decent education

There ARE some parents who actually do homeschooling right. But it does seem to be the exception rather than the rule.

            Thank you for saying this.

The US education system is cooked. It’s not hard to do better.

Homeschooling gets a bad wrap because it is very poorly regulated and leads to some of the dumbest, least well adjusted adults you can possibly create.

But it can also lead to a much better, proper education if the parents are intelligent and truly care about the kids education.

Yes, I know at least one family that homeschools and does a good job. My sister-in-law does it as well, but it’s the wrong way, unfortunately.

he uses AI to homeschool. The same AI that is wrong 70% of the time and deludes facts more often than that? America, please for the love for your children, introduce MANDATORY schooling!!! So many dumb parents, often massively religious, who teach their children anything besides factbased science… I feel so sorry everytime I watch a video of a homeschooled kid who struggles to multiply 5 with 5.

I knew a 17 year old girl who was homeschooled and didn’t know what a “prime number” was. Surprise surprise, her mom was a bible-thumper (and the girl was a closeted atheist.)

I’m using Grok to raise my kids. They’ve learned tons of important lessons about who controls the media.

Well, to play devil’s advocate: Confronting children with AI early on prepares them for what’s to come. If he teaches about the dangers, the advantages and disadvantages it’s good to do so early on so the kids can understand what they are dealing with. They will be exposed to it anyway so it’s good to talk and learn about it.

That being said: I don’t think this is what he meant by that.

You mean like raising your children in a Nazi environment prepares you by teaching you the dangers, advantages, and disadvantages of Nazism? (Protip: Children brought up by Nazis tend to become Nazis.)

Or maybe children brought up as Christians are prepared by seeing the dangers, advantages, and disadvantages of belief in the Sky Daddy? (Protip: People brought up in religious households tend to be of that religion.)

Yeah, teaching children about that AI exists, what it does and doesn’t is the same as raising a child as a nazi. What are you on about? Of course teaching about the cruelties of the nazis is crucial to prevent it from happening again.

Or are you saying this guy is an ai? And raising their children as ai? Nazis believing their children should become a nazi doesn’t mean the rest of society should not know and be thought about national socialism.

Fuck AI, but knowing about it is key to defeating it. Misinformation will not help destroy it.

He’s not teaching them about the limits of AI. He’s using AI to replace parenting. This is not someone who is critical about AI and teaching people how to contend with it. This is someone who’s passing around the Kool-Aid.

Although I definitely agree that the vast majority of parents definitely shouldn’t homeschool, I know of a single case where it went alright. Though they’re definitely outliers in the equation.

Most of the people I work with are deeply invested in crypto, and are flat broke now most of them are looking for jobs in AI thinking it will make them extremely wealthy and also because it destroys the environment their words, not mine

Probably Clickbait stupid thing but I like how they got the detail of him having five kids right.

There’s no way a guy like that only has two kids. They all want to infest the world with their DNA.
