I basically manually exclude results after 2021 now because the internet sucks. I found this addon: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/duckduckgo-date-range/ but it is buggy and doesn’t remember settings between sessions.
Willing to look at self hosting. It’s tedious to always set a date range.
Idk for sure but that seems like something SearXNG would feature.
Kagi has a feature called Lenses that allows you to setup search profiles to exclude or include sites as well as set date ranges. Highly recommend. I’ve been using it for two years now and even when I forget to use an anti-slop lens the search results are still far better than anywhere else.
I’m not paying ai sloppers for a search engine lol. Especially when they can’t publish any metrics to justify the cost.

Will give you the Google search results as web search without AI but it doesn’t avoid ads unfortunately.
I like it because I can set it as a default search engine to avoid AI without having to run much of anything else except UBlockOrigin.
This works for computer web browsing.
For Firefox on mobile (or your fork of choice) you can go to your search settings and set a custom search engine and type in: https://www/. google.com/search?q=%s&udm=14
Without the space between “www. Google”. It will bypass AI search for just web search.
Please note that Google is still enshittifying search in other ways that aren’t AI related and this doesn’t mitigate that.
