Singing, playing music.
orgasm. even better with a partner
Deep-chested, full-volume, belt-it-out singing. Especially if it’s either super sad or very angry.
Recommendation: Brownie Mountain from Tim & Eric Awesome Show Great Job. It’s a melancholy anthem that rewards - and, in fact, requires - fully-commited vocals, while at the same time also being a song about accidentally eating a literally mountain-sized pile of brownies.
Primal screaming in an enclosed space, like an elevator
one thing I miss about driving. though my passengers didn’t appreciate it as much.
Masturbating
A hot bath. Talking to a good listener.
This may sound dumb, but resolving the problem. I was super stressed yesterday when I got an alert that my paid parking timed out. I thought i would be able to extend it on the app, but turned out you could only do that before the timer ended. And the website said you could ask a “live agent” any questions, but there was only AI with pre-selected topics.
So I had to hurry back across the city to pay for another period and I was LIVID but as soon as I got the next period covered (and no ticket) I felt better. I was (am) still angry on an intellectual level about the garbage parking company and their bald-faced lies about live agents, but I no longer felt the need to rage-scream.
A lot of good answers, so I’ll add cooking.
Getting all the ingredients ready and putting them together is a good feeling. I feel like I’m creating something. Then I get to eat it. I’m making sauteed mushrooms and a turkey burger tonight. I got garlic paste for the mushrooms, so I’m excited for it. I love it when a plan comes together.
Run up mountain! Run up mountain until brain not working and feel like vomit!
Violence & Physical activity to the point of exhaustion.
Working a heavy bag or chopping firewood are great examples.
Choppin’ wood SLAPS DUDE ITS SO GOOD
Full-contact boffer fighting. Feels good man. I can only imagine what the Buhurt loonies get out of it.
Writing! It exorcises the bad feelings onto the page where they are trapped forever.
Eating good food.
And by good food, I mean food that is healthy for you and satisfying and novel enough that it causes the receptors in your brain to start firing off.
It’s a rare treat to find a place that even offers that.
The last time I went to Portland I stumbled across a restaurant called kebab and had Egyptian chicken kusharia and it was so good that it made my entire week. I’m still thinking about that chicken kusharia and that was back in April.

Weeding the yard, one grass plant at a time
I had a neighbor who used a pair of scissors to cut his grass regularly. It wasn’t a big yard, maybe 12ft x 12ft, but he’d be out there all the time kneeling and trimming his grass.
One day I asked why he didn’t just use a mower, and he said it gives him a chance to get some time away from his wife lol
Haven’t thought of that dude in a long time.
Surfing. Especially by myself.
