I mean, searching kids’ bags is one thing, but combat knife violence in school isn’t a “solution” to anyone but cops.

Searching kids’ school bags “because of knife violence” makes them get used to unwarranted searches in a police state.

Because fucking with our personal freedom in the name of anti terrorism wasn’t enough, they’re also banning fucking opinels now, which are the cheese-and-charcuterie-eating implements by excellence.

Wait, they do what now? I thought, Opinels are equivalent to the french citizenship. When I think of France I picture Burgundy wine, baguette, Camembert, an Opinel and riots.

          Are y’all rioting yet?

I think the hunters got mad, and it’s one of the most powerful lobbying groups here. But IIRC the government is still moving forward on this

It’s not a French riot without valiant, topless muses with flags promising liberty for all. 🤘🏼

Everyone is going crazy about security these days.

Yes! You can die because of getting stabbed. But – you can also die because of stumbling over your open shoelaces. It’s a life risk I’m willing to take.

If you want nearly perfect security, then you will have absolutely no freedom. Think about that.
