Sylvartas@lemmy.dbzer0.comto Piracy: ꜱᴀɪʟ ᴛʜᴇ ʜɪɢʜ ꜱᴇᴀꜱ@lemmy.dbzer0.com•I fucking hate Konami and any game studio that does thisEnglish131·12 days agoAs a gamedev I feel strongly about financially supporting the games and creators I like so I try to always pay for the game if the price is fair. But Konami can fuck right off, they basically hold SotN and all the best Igavanias hostages behind their shitty bundles that are too expensive and sometimes exclusive to some platforms. Some of them were still Nintendo DS exclusive for ages until they got released in a bundle recently. I’ll consider giving them money again when they start actually making games again.
Same treatment applies to retro Nintendo games. You’re telling me I bought basically all your consoles since the GameCube at release day and you’re still gonna fuck me over and make me pay your stupid online subscription so I can play Super Metroid on the switch (even though I still own a working SNES and the game’s cartridge) ? Honestly that was the last straw that made me preorder the steam deck when I heard how easy it was to emulate on it
That is called a render target and basically adds an entire full pass of frame computing (from this pov) which is why mirrors using this tech usually have an abysmal resolution. And generally some blur to hide it a little

And they all have some strong opinions about Elsevier.
I mean, I think they’re also choosing old people to be pope because it’s a “for life” thing. Plus the whole wisdom aspect and shit since it’s religion
Also the weird-ass “aura” around the character in the last panel. Afaik AIs don’t really do layers so when they draw things that are supposed to be on top of a background they tend to avoid drawing anything around it
Sylvartas@lemmy.dbzer0.comto Technology@beehaw.org•Chinese people flood TikTok with videos urging Americans to buy direct amid Trump tariffsEnglish26·24 days agoAfaik french haute couture shit (like Vuitton) really don’t. They’d rather play with all the grey areas of the law of various European countries to buy their leather from some factories in Italy where work safety standards are seen as more of guidelines than rules and they illegally employ immigrants to pay them the shittiest salary possible. Then get that shit to France and pay someone a pittance to make the bag even though it’s very tedious and precise work, so you can say it was made in France with European leather.
Well, FWIW, my sister who was 1 or two levels above me in skiing, managed to actually break a ski, without even doing anything particularly bold. When you say you are an expert skier they do tend to make the bindings pretty damn “hard” iirc.
Now, skis poles ? I think most of them are hollow and bend when you look at them wrong
I’ve tried that. It does, but the worst part is being terrified that the skis are gonna break or a pole is going to bend the whole time
Unfortunately I think only the foreign legion would have been likely to fire back here, and I don’t think they they do much peacekeeping.

Appointments years in the future are meaningless, because fuck if I know whether something will come up that means I have to move into a different city or whatever.
Sure I’ll write it down, but doing so feels ironic in that case
