I once, while very tired, accidentally put I think a cup of salt into some cookies. You would think at some point pouring all of that salt into a measuring cup would have set off at leat one alarm bell, but nope!
Did the cookies forgive you for your mistake, or are they still salty?
Salty as the ocean
More like a salt brick, ugh.
I’ve done this working at a bakery, we didn’t find out until a customer returned very unhappy.
Me watching Forged in Fire.
One of these days I’ll actually set up my forge (it’s actually a casting furnace)
Wow, the pancake batter looks really thin, adds flour that’s better
Why’s it taste like rubbery bread? Wait why is the sugar still in the cabinet?
Um… Why is there sugar in your pancake? You put things in top, no? Does it even taste good with bacon or cheese if the pancake itself is sweet? Hold up why is it rubbery?? I think your pancakes have problems all the way down
Sugar reacts with the proteins in the milk and flour when heated. This gives pancakes their golden-brown color and distinct aroma.
Moisture and tenderness. Sugar is hygroscopic (it attracts and retains water), which keeps the inside of the pancake soft and fluffy rather than dry or rubbery.
Flavor Balance: A touch of sugar cuts through the slight bitterness of the baking powder/baking soda and balances the salt.
Western pancakes all get sugar.
We also make cheesecake and candied bacon.
well you first have to invent the universe, duh
Lmao OOP so stupid.

I’m in this picture and I don’t like it
I read this in Gilbert Gottfried’s voice.
i feel personally attacked hahaha
Oh yeah, I hate it when I forget to drizzle over the top of my walnut whirl and my coffee ganache doesn’t have the typical Parisian cafe-style wobble. I feel like such a fool when I serve it to people. Fortunately they are usually kind enough not to say anything.
I used salt instead of sugar while making saltwater taffy :(
So it does happen in real life!
Yeah, everyone is a critic for real. But when you bake yourself, sometimes… oops.
