I already had a good few years academic and professional experience in both NLP and ML before ChatGPT came out, and since then I’ve been doing some consulting in gen AI.

I’ve long said we need a return to how search engines worked pre-google. In the mid-90s, sites like Altavista and Yahoo! made site owners add their sites manually, and you had to choose what category to put them in, and they’d be vetted by a human to make sure it was what it said it was.
Did they remove channel blocking recently? Something very undesirable appeared on my recommendations this week, and when I went to the channel to block it it the button wasn’t there, and worse still me going to the channel auto played more of its shit. So now YouTube think I want more.
