I’m mad here at this ceasefire because it’s an artificial end to the fighting. Its peace for the sake of peace and does not resolve any points of conflict. With no security arrangements and no sovereignty agreements the war has achieved nothing and both sides are taking 5 steps back. With no satisfactory off road provided for the Palestinian people there is no option to for them to develop and thus they will continue to repeat the cycle.
I followed the different negotiations and there were times where both sides has reasonable proposals with 1 unagreeable part that neither side would budge off and the deal fell apart. If they had just come to an agreement on that 1 part they both could walk away with progress but instead we get this ceasefire where both walk away with nothing.
Why does it have to be another october 7th? It could be as simple as Hamas or another group launching a rocket into Isreal.
This ceasefire is way to generous to Hamas. Its far more than they deserve. Hamas get a ceasefire with no concessions on their end and a prisoner swap of 30-50 per 1 Israeli. The mediators say it’s likely to go through but id be very surprised if isreal accepts it.
With no security arrangements I wouldn’t be surprised if war breaks out again in less than a year.

Its based on Arch packages (that are extremely out of date) and that doesn’t make it anything like arch. An arch package feels exactly the same as software packed by any other maintainer. What makes arch arch is that you start from a minimal install and choose your software. Another thing that makes arch arch is that you get the latest software updates on a rolling release. Another thing that makes arch arch is that you are responsible for your system and making sure it doesnt break.
None of those things remotely apply to SteamOS. A distro based on another distro doesnt mean they are they same. We dont think mint is ubuntu, we dont think ubuntu is debian, we dont think manjaro is arch.
I only push back on your comment because people echoing SteamOS is Arch causes so many issues in linux help discords with new users thinking their steamdeck is arch linux and fucking up their system and thinking that linux doesnt work because they followed an arch guide.

You do realize the United States didn’t start that war. They’ve done a lot to stabilize the region and they have tried to solve the issue both before and after the war.
