There’s a special place in hell for the guys who put the save point before the monologue, a deeper place in hell for those who make cutscenes unskippable, and a special place in extra hell for the fuckers who do this.
It increases the stakes of dying. You can’t just retry, you have to listen to the villain monologue again
So it spoils the game for you because it’s harder to try again? Bad idea.
TV and controller manufacturers bribe game developers to do this. Increases the likelihood of frustrated gamers destroying one or both objects, increasing sales.
To this day, I still have the entirety of the “Kairi’s inside me” cutscene in Kingdom Hearts memorized, because I was stuck on that goddamned Riku fight for like a week as a kid.
Same, and I still have “it is I, Ansem. Seeker of darkness…” stuck in my head… It has been 20 years!

Why did Riku become one with the darkness?
to get to the other side
“I am Milleania Blade of” “WE KNOW, YOUR BROTHER IS IN ANOTHER CA-… OW!”
Me trying to finally beat The Radiance in Hollow Knight, having to first beat The Hollow Knight AGAIN every. single. time. just to get to the second boss fight. I never felt the game was too tedious except for that one detail.
It’s usually the penultimate boss which does this - with the final boss being much easier for some reason.
Seymour Flux on Mt Gagazet
creepy piano theme
What is this from?
Brooklyn Nine-Nine, specifically the #1 rated episode of the whole show, Season 5, Episode 14: The Box
Highly recommend the show, very funny
The gag in this screenshot is also a call-back to S1E05, where Peralta is interrogating a perp and trying to “annoy him into confessing” by playing a guitar poorly and screaming.
Brooklyn 99, pretty good show.
Oh man, this was me trying to defeat Detleff in the final boss fight of Witcher 3’s Blood & Wine DLC.
I have no idea what I’m going to do when I get to that fight in my Death March playthrough…
Well at least the boss deliver if it is the 34th time
