You encourage people not to vote because you genuinely believe democrats and republicans are the same. This gets republicans elected, therefore you work to get republicans elected. You refuse to acknowledge the fundamental reality that third parties are wholly nonviable as a means of political change in the US. You refuse to acknowledge the currently successful strategy of primarying democrats with progressives and preventing republicans from winning in the general by any means necessary which in very nearly every instance explicitly means voting for the democrat.
