I absolutely can acknowledge the real existing struggles faced by AES states, and can offer contextualization or explanation of how we can avoid making the same mistakes. What’s more evident than anything is that you don’t actually know what those struggles really were, so you throw it all under the banner of “COMMUNISM BAD,” which I can’t engage with.

If you ask me about a specific event, time period, action, etc. we can have an actual dialogue. Failing all else, I recommend you read Blackshirts and Reds by Dr. Michael Parenti, he takes a critical eye towards the successes and failures of the Soviet Union in a way that analyzes what actually happened there.

Eventually the real world will let you know that Marxists are right, yet again.

  • What do you mean? How do you keep using money after moving to a fully publicly owned, planned economy? You will still use tokens to exchange for goods from the public, but it wouldn’t be tradeable with others to prevent accumulation and profit.

  • What genocide did Stalin commit against Russians? Are you referring to political purges as genocide? Famine? What specifically are you talking about? I’m not being evasive, you’re inventing history and refuse to clarify what you’re talking about.

  • Acknowledge what? Saying I need to “acknowledge the genocide of the Russian people by Stalin” in a thread going over the very real ongoing genocide in Palestine is deflection, for 1. Secondly, what specifically are you referring to as a genocide? Political purges? Famine? Historians don’t recognize a genocide committed by Stalin against Russians, they acknowledge excess deaths, so I need to know specifically what you’re talking about or else you’re going to throw a fit again.

Step away from the keyboard. I’m an American Leftist, I’m a Marxist. I have never been to Russia, nor have I been paid by Russians. This is an absurd conspiracy theory.

  • What, specifically, are you asking about? Are you asking about why it was dissolved from the top down and sold for parts to the west? Or is this about something more specific?

For clarity, the Soviet Union marked dramatic improvements for the lives of the Working Class, and showed that Socialism is a working economic model. Asking what went “wrong” without asking specifics helps nobody, the best answer to that is just directing you to Blackshirts and Reds, which took a critical look at what went right and what didn’t in the Soviet Union and how it collapsed, along with the brutal reintroduction of Capitalism that killed 7 million people.

  • I advocate for worker organization and revolution, I blame the Dems for spoiling the left as far-right wingers and I blame the Reps as far-right wingers. Even if every single third party voter in every swing state voted for Harris and convinced 2 or 3 others to do the same, Harris still would have lost handily.

You have no idea what you’re talking about.

    1. The Democrats share responsibility with the Republicans and Imperialists that have supported Israel’s settler-colonial genocide for nearly a hundred years

    2. I have been pro-Palestine since far before October 7th, 2023

    3. Even if I wanted to get Trump elected, I couldn’t. The Democrats lost because they ran an awful campaign and shifted even further right despite polling telling them that at that point swing voters would rather vote for Republicans.

  • They competed against Trump in 2020 and ran a more progressive campaign, and won. They competed against Trump in 2024 and ran a genocidal campaign that paraded around warmongers like Liz Cheney, and lost even the popular vote.

Obama is the premier example of a warmongering neoliberal that could perfectly orate for progressive voters despite his actual policy, both domestic and foreign.
