At every turn, we swing wide and hard with actual thought and theory - but capitalism will parry with “Umm, actually” from every swing. We need to learn to parry, ourselves.
lol
LMAO
Someone didn’t read Berk.
No, I very have much read Berserk several times. The “parry” here is not literal (I am well-aware that Gatsu eventually defeats Griffith with sheer brutality), but learning to stop capitalism from continuing to commit mass murder, (figuratively in this sense) rape those closest to you, and rule the world is paramount. Even if we have to chop off our own hand with a dull and broken blade in order to retrofit a crossbow as it continues to to do so. Defeat the demons that haunt you (and us as a whole) while accepting help from odd places (like Puck) and not being deterred by literally overwhelming odds. The thing that Gatsu cares about most in the end is saving the people he cares about (especially Casca, and in this metaphor she’s the one that capitalism attacked the hardest). Yes, for what is written he winds up on a boat and the new chapters are very slow to come out (yes, there are new chapters!) but in a sense that symbolizes an eternal struggle to find a cure.
His name is Guts. Weeb.
You asked if I had read the manga. His name is Gatsu, and is translated to Guts. You made a very unsubstantial claim, then doubled down on you yourself not having read Berserk.
We’re speaking English. His name is Guts, in English. Kentaro Miura isn’t going to suck you off from beyond the grave because you use his Japanese name.
Nah, swing harder with more facts and logic! Also kissem (show them patience and compassion and also make out with em so they know you’re cool)
Part of the point here is that Guts eventually defeats Griffith in a mirror scene.
And Griffith rapes his partner, kills everyone, and becomes a god.
Guts gets stuck in a boat.
Fin.
I don’t like this metaphor for our current socioeconomic models :(
But he doesn’t do it with a parry. He just learns to strike hard and fast enough to break Griffith’s sword so he CANT be parried
That’s… how revolutions should be ran, correct…
CAPITALIFFIT!
The capis current “parries”: “but the elections/midterms/primaries!” “One day protests and strikes, on the weekends!”
Me: “Is that demolishing deathcamps‽”
Yeah, I should have clarified here that the “parry” isn’t literal here, but learning to defeat a common enemy of everyone.
