Linux@programming.dev•This Application Brings macOS Styled Installer for AppImages on LinuxEnglish
2·5 days agoThis doesn’t make any sense? Appimages aren’t distributed like this, there is no point in making it three step operation, you won’t accidentally open this application and drag an appimage there.

152·5 days agoIn my opinion this is horrible, why is it not enough to just drag it there? Why exactly there is a need to drag it, then drag it once more, then press install? 🤔

They are making money, they just burn a lot more money (tens of billions of usd a year) and they don’t even plan on becoming profitable till 2030, which is insane for almost any other non-ai bubble or gov. funded company on the planet.
Yes? They don’t care it’s an infinite money glitch where big corporations pretend that they are in a growth phase and give each other money by using shares that they can print at will.

There can’t be single obvious green path for a lot of complex things and most of the things that we do on computers actually are complex like that. I would think that user friendliness is more of an indicator of a sane default behaviour or something that people already are taught to expect. Balancing that is even harder i think.
Now is like 10 years if not more, no?
I think Request Tracker is the closest thing to Jira, whether it’s good or bad is an open question (for me).
Looks like a great feature.
They actually don’t but it is the way programs are installed on gentoo by default.
