The rails are good, but a bit rushed planning wise. Haven’t been to China, but the biggest complaints I’ve heard are more “they stuck a station in a super inconvenient spot so they could show progress on the project”

The trains and track seem to have been well built though.

I’m fairly resilient to uncomfortable travel unless it’s actively painful like ear popping sometimes, so I usually just choose on price and speed most of the time.

Yeah, I’ve been using trains for travel in the northeast lately.

It’s less travel time, there’s no ridiculous security theater, and I don’t get these nickel and dime charges for checked bags.

I mean, it’s a valid question. Why are the Democrats censuring their own? Why aren’t the Democrats supporting the popular candidates who can mobilize voters but are more progressive than they would like?

So what would mobilizing them look like? They know what we want them to do, is it a lack of motivation? A lack of incentive? If the threat of losing their core voters isn’t enough to get them to act, what is?

It’s not that we don’t recognize the fault of Republicans, but yelling at them is less effective than mobilizing resources that are supposed to be more accessible to Democrats.

There are tons of campaigning dollars, expertise, and connections locked away behind intransigent Dems.

If putting Canada under the jurisdiction of a more compliant country like the US makes that easier great, if instead the conservative parties in Canada can be propped up great. You have plenty of MAGAs in Canada, They’re not just in the US, so we all could do some house cleaning. The US is just the cautionary tale.

I don’t think he actually cares about Canada specifically. The point is to alienate the US from its allies and reduce any kind of powerful diplomatic mediators or military deterrents so Russia and similar traditionally colonial powers can just start seizing whatever territory they want.
