It’s rumoured for a while, but it’s here now. It says he’ll probably be loaned out. This is similar to Jeong Sang-bin who moved to Wolves and was loaned out in Switzerland (it didn’t work out and he’s playing in MLS now) and Yang Min-hyeok who joined Spurs and is loaned out to QPR (yet to see how he’ll develop). Certainly interesting that K League players are being signed directly by EPL clubs recently after a long period in the 2010s with any such moves.
I think they would have struggled whoever they drew, but I really don’t think they have much chance here. If I’m proved wrong, it would be a huge upset.
Kim Min-jae is injured and is being replaced by FC Seoul’s Kim Ju-sung
It just appeared on funami just now somehow, but I’ll ping @noahimesaka1873@lemmy.funami.tech just in case there’s something that can be improved
I’ll start. I’m a Suwon fan who, as per recent tradition, is waiting for the manager to be fired and someone new to be brought in who benches all the winter signings and selects their own players in the summer. We’ll finish the season in a mediocre position in K2 (missing out on promotion of course), and there will be some faint hope as we head into 2026. The manager will complete their rebuild, only to be fired on the new season for poor results.
I have a very Ship-of-Theseus feeling about Suwon at the moment, with about the only constant thing between season being the fans, who are fantastic.
If you were on reddit before in the KLeague sub, you’ve probably seen me around.
Well done to Suwon finally getting a victory over Seoul E. Not entirely sure if Seoul fielded their strongest team, and we looked pretty shaky at the end as usual, but got the result at least and largely played well.
