I tried out ollama. It was trivially easy to set up.
Stable diffusion is a bit more work, but any power user should be able to figure it out.

The show was good because of Larry David and the rest of the writers. People just assumed Jerry was funny by association.
Cost to run the company? They will proudly milk as much money as they can to maximize profits. Having a bigger margin is a point of pride for them. Watch any shareholder meeting. They will publicly brag about it.
I don’t think that’s the statement. I think it’s that they were hoping that they could ignore it but weren’t about to.
I think Lemny needs to be pitched to more independent communities as a way to provide a forum to their members while being connected to the rest of the Internet. For example, game developers should make lemmy instances for their game communities so they can host a forum and not be subjected to the whims of Reddit. Non profits and guilds as well.
Thing is anyone health conscious already knows that you can have good nutrition with a vegan diet. Anyone generalizing veganism as having bad nutrition without looking at the specifics of what someone is eating has no idea what they’re talking about and probably don’t have good nutrition themselves if they’re that uninformed
You mean splatoon?
You mean something like a third Reich?
At least I got chicken
Wouldn’t the best term be mercantilism? Power through the accumulation of wealth, but instead of nations it’s now corporations. It’s definitely not capitalist since capitalism is about having competition, and that doesn’t happen without constant government intervention to break up monopolies and trusts.
Honestly, I’m not against ads, I understand that a site with free articles needs to pay the bills somehow. The reason I use ad block is that online ads have become so intrusive that it makes websites unusable, and the way they track you is way over the line. If ads didn’t completely destroy the experience of reading a website and were reasonable in the data they collected I probably wouldn’t bother with ad block.
It’s kinda infuriating that Democrats spend years working tirelessly to undo Republican bullshit, and when they finally do, people are like “but why didn’t you do it sooner?”. Do these people have zero life expense l experience where it’s fucking hard to change institutions?
And most people wore clothes that came from plants, like cotton and linen. Leather and fur were not for commoners, and are not sustainable compared to plants.
What do you think most clothes were made out of before polyester? Most people wore cotton, linen, or wool clothes. The first two are from plants, the last one doesn’t kill the animal. Hemp was also a major source of textile. Seriously, what the hell are you talking about?
Open your eyes, the world isn’t even real. Once you realize that you can take whatever form you want.
As bad as establishment candidates tend to be, trump is far far worse. The problem with the trump supporters is they boil everything down to “X bad, so not X good!” Trump was an outsider which is why they supported him, but just being an outsider doesn’t automatically make you good, and in his case he’s far worse.
Ubuntu really was a big step forward for ease of setup back when it first came out, but other distros have since caught up. I think the ultimate success of an open source project is when they make themselves obsolete because they had such a big impact on the eco system at large. I think Ubuntu achieved their main goal, but once they did that they ended up adding a bunch of bloat to distinguish themselves as the intro user option.
I went from Ubuntu to Xubuntu one Ubuntu started adding all their bloaty window UI. I stuck with it for a long time but recently it started acting up on me so I switched to Linux mint xfce since it’s the closest experience and feels a bit more stable. I figure if it ain’t broke…
That’s a hot take I’d expect to hear from a 12 year old.
