If all the devices are in the same network you should be able to stream content even without internet. I had to wait for 5 days to my ISP set up my internet on my new address and I watched my jellyfin library in the meantime with no problems.
I don’t know if this would fit your needs but I just have a wireguard server and when I travel I just connect to my VPN from my phone and start my access point …then all the other devices will be connected to my VPN through the phone access point (there is an option to let clients use VPN in access point settings) and watch jellyfin. For me this is the simplest and cheapest option I found.
I’ve seen the cam release and it is the best cam I’ve ever seen…I had been away from the high seas for a decade so I was impressed when I downloaded this movie for my daughter… Who had gone to the movies to watch it but wanted to watch again
XP…my laptop was an old Acer my mom passed to me and couldn’t run vista so I never got it… Hopped on Ubuntu 09.04
That’s why I love Lemmy! Every day I learn something interesting here!
You’re lucky to use the website… All my banking apps need the app to login to their website. I open the app, it crashes and complains about not being a reliable system. Tried magisk and all those modules…only one of them works after all the hoops.
Yeah I can understand that about leechers…that’s why I tried to run a docker container to have my files accessible 24/7 in my home server. The same thing with torrent… I let the files a long time seeding to give back what I took. I hope I slowly find some cool music from people that let me download…gonna try asking them to share the folder to see if I get luck…thanks
Yeah I don’t even have a large collection but I’ve seen some jazz albums locked that are pretty easy to get by torrenting. If I don’t wanna share something I’d just keep it in a different folder…anyway, I found nicotine awesome and plan to spend some time looking for new unlocked stuff…thanks
I was surprised that they really do have rare things like some niche Brazilian musicians and they’re not even Brazilian
Cool…gonna ask them to see if I can download this 60s album from a Brazilian musician
Yeah I’m sharing my music library… It’s not much but I have around 15Gb of music I’ve been downloading since kazaa and linewire era. I have a couple of flacs too now that I have lidarr running. I’m gonna try asking for the files thanks.
I’m gonna try asking for the files thanks
Cool…I’m gonna try that so I don’t get frustrated to find some cool music that I’m not able to download.
Wow… I mean,if you paid for your music and don’t want to share it,OK …just don’t share it
Nice! Makes me wanna leave xfce for a while and try KDE. It’s been like 8 years since the last time I tried it.
The only thing that keeps me with subscriptions is the cartoons my daughter watches, because they are hard to find dubbed in my language (Portuguese). It’s still more convenient to subscribe than try to find the dubbed cartoons online. For everything I watch I use my arr stack.
Does your ISP allow you to get external requests on port 80? Mine doesn’t…And I figured that the hard way trying to access my jellyfin server. Are you behind CGNAT?
Wow! Cool! I’ll download one season to test it. A lot of languages is better than not languages enough! Thanks for the info
Wow people still use conky! Last time I tried using it, Linux was in kernel 2.6.
