The church is a guilty institution, it provided abusers with authority and power over their victims, and actively covered up crimes and enabled abusers to continue committing crimes. While demanding money and devotion from it’s millions of followers, many of whom were the victims. Abusers should be punished for their crimes, but we’re talking historic abuse, most perpetrators are probably dead. The church should most definitely pay reparations.
I use Bandcamp instead of Spotify now, because that’s what most of my musician friends use to sell their music and recommend as the best way of supporting artists directly, and some of my favourite current artists are active on there. Yeah I can’t just stream and make playlists of whatever I want, and it’s more for new music than older stuff, but I can scroll through and play the suggested tracks which are far more interesting and diverse than anything Spotify would suggest to me, and then I can buy the stuff I really like. I’m slowly building up enough stuff that way to have an interesting collection on my phone to listen to, and it’s also introduced me to some really cool music that I wouldn’t have heard about from Spotify.
I trod on a slug recently while wearing socks. The slime didn’t come out in the wash. Bleeuuurrgghhhh.
QED is actually the opposite of a conspiracy theory channel or organisation. They’re very pro science and critical thinking, and spend a lot of time debunking conspiracy theories and pseudo-science.
I’ve got no skin in the debate in this thread, I didn’t watch the actual video and have no opinion on the validity of what you or the other posters are saying, I’m just pointing out that I think that you’re wrong to dismiss the channel as a source, even if you disagree with the claims made in that specific video.
Someone, somewhere, is definitely making fungal honey. But I think it might be an STD.
It’s a myth. For a start most people’s hayfever isn’t anything to do with flower pollen, it’s grass and tree pollen and fungal spores. Pollen and spores can be carried by air currents and travel long distances. The flowers your local honey comes from are unlikely to be causing your hayfever. You should buy local honey over commercial honey though because it supports small producers.
I will be forever scarred by not one but two duck gang rapes I witnessed. The second one involved them raping another male duck to death, presumably because all the females were hiding as far away as they could. Absolute bastards.
