Hehe, I grinnikked

Probably just stick to the side of your head.
Have you tried eating the cheese instead?

ABP is the pension fund for, among others, the Dutch government. I don’t think they’ll openly call Elon Hitler all that quick, just to keep up good relations.

A work of fiction isn’t historically accurate?
I’m shocked, absolutely shocked, I tell you!
No, that would be suspicious
And then those allegations are negated by being published by opponents of the protest. It’s a shitshow all the way to the top.

not a tech demo
Half Life 2 just casually lying there in the Tech Demo corner (especially the episodic content)
In the Netherlands your pension fund is withheld from your wages (partially a mandatory government fund, partially a fund your employer might select).
My previous employer invested about 1% of my wages into the fund, which was quite shite. My current employer invests 10% and has a significantly better return.
Health insurance is a monthly cost you pay on your own (starting at around € 120 / mo). It’s a € ~350 yearly deductible and coverage is mostly decided by the government. Any additional coverage is your own choosing and comes at a premium.
As you can only switch contracts on a yearly basis, comparing health plans is effectively a Christmas tradition for all Dutch citizens.

Sleeper trains are 40 eur for a dorm, and you skip on having to pay a hotel. That’s not luxury travel.

Any flight is usually +2 hours beforehand, +1 hour after and that doesn’t even include travel to a city centre.
I’d much rather travel at most 1hr more, whilst being allowed to bring my own food or drink and significantly more luggage.
Also: no (or minimal) security checks, instead of the whole Airport Security Theatre™

it’s impossible to see what they’re doing.
Then you better treat them as a car of which you don’t know what they’re doing (most of 'em), and keep a sensible distance.

Good visibility? You can’t even see what’s in front of your tires.

Can’t bake a ceasefire without breaking a few bullet casings.
Yeah, I never really expected it to be the tank.

In this thread: difference in worldwide laws. In the Netherlands you get fined 65+ eur per broken or missing light on your bike. Checks are frequent.
I actually wouldn’t be too surprised if it was the tank.

Must be a big city problem. I do see them, but the majority uses proper mounted lights.
One upside of those illegal fat bikes is that the lights usually work just fine, making them easy to see.

Bikes have lights on them too.

This could end up being a very expensive monkey candle, in space.
But imagine the friends we’ll make along the way
You break it, you buy it. Let’s move the Israeli officials to Gaza and let the Palestina citizens live in Jerusalem. ^/s
