Try not to leave even footprints please. People go trailblazing way too often when there’s perfectly good trails already.

The equivalent to anti-Semite but for Muslims I guess? Just Islamophobia? That doesn’t have a good ring to it. We need a good term to use that Palestinians can play the racist card with for the next 100 years like Israel does.

That allows the parents to have their own shower/tub, and the children to share a bathroom with a shower/tub, and the halfbath would be kept presentable for guests to use and wash up in. But usually two full baths is enough for a family of 4-5. Four is way overkill.

It's not very rule...English9·9 days agoThey aren’t affordable because every contractor out there is being paid by investment firms to build glass steel and marble condos that can be rented out for $4000 a month instead of drywall, wood and laminate ones that can be rented out for $2000.
All of the existing drywall, wood, and laminate ones built 30 years ago are falling apart and no new ones are being built
Starter homes do not exist anymore because no one builds them. Only luxury homes for the boomers to downsize to and pocket their fortunes as they move out of the big city.

I think I would have difficulty depending on how devoted they are. Like would I need to pretend to pray beside them at every meal? Or do they just keep most of that to themselves?
Also, I do find the little rituals and habits that religious people go through a bit silly so I feel like I would not be able to just silently sit by and watch it for years and years.

Just trying out one seasons to see if it sticks is not the way to go.
I had lower back pain for a while about 12 years ago when I was youngish.
Ignored it for like a week because I thought I just slept weird.
Then one day I asked someone to take me to the walk-in since it was getting worse.
It was a Sunday so they were all closed, but by that time I was starting to shake. Asked to go to the ER.
Once in the ER I’m sweating, shivering and shaking. Doctor takes one look at me and bumps me to the front of the line. Takes me in and immediately says I look like I’m going through septic shock. Puts me on IV antibiotics and morphine for the pain which was incredible at that point.
Apparently I had a UTI which led to a bladder infection and eventually worked its way up to my kidneys and then poisoned my blood. Another week of 1hr per day IV antibiotics pumping through me and I was okay.
If it weren’t Sunday I possibly could have died.
So yeah, probably go see a doctor.

Pyr@lemmy.cato Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•If you were the CEO of a small game development company would company field trips be a good thing?19·1 month agoAs long as I’m getting paid you can send me anywhere to do anything.
But expect me to go somewhere without being paid and it better be something I’m interested in and that I don’t have other stuff I would rather use my time to catch up on. I have better stuff to do at home than to just hang out and not be productive while also losing a day of wages.
But if it’s paid I would greatly appreciate the stress free day.

I would be confused as a person driving as well. Usually buses in my area just stop in the lane so it’s a lot more obvious that you stop behind the bus and don’t pass in the lane beside it.
What infuriates me even more is when they keep the cancelled shows in the library with no warning.
So 5 years from now someone goes “oh yeah this looks good” and then loves it and subsequently finds out it was cancelled 4 years ago after wondering why the hell it’s taking so long for seasons 2 to come out.
