  • I find it funny to watch these countries having issues with people not wanting to have babies.

There are core reasons behind this, one large one being “raising a child is expensive and all the world’s money is being sucked up by billionaires, there is nothing left for children”. Another one (for certain countries like Japan and South Korea) is the “work 80 hours a week and never see that family you’re supposed to raise”

And governments go like “sooooo, if we cover child birth, you’re good, right? What? Still nothing? We tried nothing and we’re all out of ideas, how oh how can we solve this?”

Fuck the rich, end the rich. That will get births back to a healthy 2.1

  • I’ve used Linux Desktop both personal and at work since 2003, I guess I got lucky with where I worked, they always allowed it as long as I could do everything that needed to be done.

Then again, I was either the owner or CTO level for the last decade or so, and just made those decisions myself.

Now I’m trying to push my current company to switch completely to Linux, and it ain’t easy. Not because of Linux, that part is fine and whatever easy, but because Microsoft worked hard to ensure you can’t escape their fucking clutches.

Moving away from teams, for example, will be a tough one, because most of our customers and government have complety relented to Microsoft, and you MUST use teams to talk to them.

So then what? Use different messengers internally and externally? I’m still not sure how to get rid of that part, but for the rest, we are going off the microshit soon

  • according to a report that argues global inequality has reached such extremes that ugrgent action ha.cms become essential.

I guarantee you that that 0.001% agrees, there are too many of them, that should be 0.00001% instead

    Fuck the rich!

I call for hard limits on personal networth and the worth of companies

No single person should be able to control more than 10M, companies shouldn’t be worth over 1 billion

Anything over that, goes to taxes.

It’s a single basic rule that requires more rules below for sure to ensure it works well, but this should be codified in a world wide constitution.

This way, nobody gets crazy amounts of money, nobody will have to be poor because the government will have a huge income that it can use for universal healthcare, education, universal basic income, etc…

Crime would go down the drain because nobody NEEDS to be a criminal anymore. There will still be a few anti social elements but good luck finding people wanting that life if they can just have a good, safe, and happy life.

Bribery and corruption? How even, and why take the risk?

There is no logical reason why anyone should have to be allowed to control this much wealth.

Investment companies must all be dismantled and all their funds transferred to independent non profit organisations that, again, won’t be able to control more than over a billion. Government can transfer money to these foundations so that loads of people can have investments for startups or whatnot

We’d need similar simple rules for governments too. All governments must be democracies, and all should follow a world constitution where we have a few basic rules that make sure nobody will ever get too much power.

It doesn’t require a lot of changes at the top. Basically these three rules, all the rest flows out of those rules. We can keep capitalism and use it’s raw power to generate resources for everyone.

What this needs is political will, this needs people to want this, need this.

  • None of that seems very hard

Find other people and invest with a group. You’ll end up with loads of companies with lots of small shareholders. If your shares become worth souch that you go over the 10M, you’ll have to sell some or have some taxes for taxes.

Maybe have governments fund independent investment foundations that can help setup startups

This isn’t even a utopia, it’s literally current capitalism with a small set of core rules added that will make a huge difference between now and how it could be.

It could be that nobody has to be poor anymore. Governments will have huge incomes so loads of money for socialist projects like free education and healthcare and housing.

The few problems I’ve seen mentioned so far, to me, are literally details that follow from the core rules.

Nobody can be worth more than X (and for now, say that X is 10M) and companies cannot be worth more than Y (let’s say 1 billion dollars). Both values can be +/- 5% if you hover at the limit, that doesn’t really matter much. What does matter is that we’re now finally all equal and still have capitalism as the core engine, allowing for all the freedoms we have today
