It could be true, I guess. It could be Western propaganda too. It doesn’t take much to reason a country as underdeveloped and isolated as NK lacks an effective military.
However, maybe they don’t need to be particularly good to further Russia’s interests. NK army may be good enough as cannon fodder or purely for defence purposes, as border guards or patrols.
Can I have some antifa gf candy too pl0xxx
Clickbait bullshit. The Department of Defense statement clarifies the US “troops” are just the crew required to operate the air defense battery equipment the US has been supplying to Israel for a while now.
This is not the first time the United States has deployed a THAAD battery to the region. The President directed the military to deploy a THAAD battery to the Middle East last year following the October 7th attacks to defend American troops and interests in the region.
Again, nothing new or different about this. The US is not putting boots on the ground to shoot people up. At least not yet.
X11. Luckily those days are over thanks to Wayland but, Jesus, are X.org config files a fucking, fiddly PITA to configure!
I don’t see how the Middle East war could escalate into a worldwide conflict. Ukraine, maybe. The Middle East conflict spiralling out of that territory? Nah.
Russia are not that bothered about Iran, and the US want to keep Israel around for the geopolitical influence they get from them, but I don’t think Israel is worth enough to the US to make them risk a direct confrontation with Russia.
Worst case scenario, Israel and Iran beat the shit out of each other while everyone else watches from the sidelines, making the occasional, half-hearted demand for a ceasefire. At most, Russia and US will continue supplying their respective friends with bombs and arms to profit off the conflict for as long as they can.
They’ll be so ugly though. I guess it’s ok, cos who needs mirrors anyways.
If I had to replace my Linux laptop right now, I’d probably go for a ThinkPad T14 AMD. They also sell them with Snapdragon ARM chips now, which is a very interesting option, though I’m not sure how viable as a daily driver.
You could run Linux on it with no issue ofc, but I wonder how good the support for ARM arch from common Linux software is nowadays…
It’s obvious: he was making good money with the latter, but not with the former.
Kamala Harris is the obvious candidate from the Democrat side. The real question is, will she manage to catch up to Trump?
You both are depressingly right. I genuinely believe if there was another referendum, it may sway more for Remain than last time, but not by that much. I reckon a good ~40% would still vote Leave so when the support for Remain is not even overwhelmingly high, it may not be worth reopening this.
Leavers fucked us all over, that ship has sailed, nothing we can do about it in the foreseeable future. Let’s try and play the cards we’ve been dealt and improve things that way and we’ll see what happens in a few decades.
I think it was a promising treatment for type 2 diabetes.
Btrfs. It was the default filesystem already when I used Fedora on both my personal and work laptops. Not a single problem. It is true I don’t really make much use of most of its advanced features like snapshotting, CoW, etc., but I also didn’t notice any difference whatsoever in stability compared to ext4 so I’m pretty happy with it as my new default.
Kitty. Don’t really care about the dev. I don’t use software or not just because the devs are assholes, as long as they’re not cannibals or pedos ofc. Even less so if it’s FOSS.
Kitty. Fast (GPU-accelerated), Wayland-compatible, and has a built-in image viewer, among other things.
Yep, whenever people text me an Instagram or TikTok URL, I just scroll past it. I don’t even bother to find out what it’s supposed to be about, it’s completely inconsequential to me.
It’s almost as though the overbearing Yahoo/Ask! toolbars that used to plague everyone’s Internet Explorer back in the day have mutated and infected the internet at large. Now most websites feel like one useless, giant malware-riddled toolbar.
Skill-based matchmaking sounds good on paper —and maybe it does help to an extent— but it doesn’t work all that well when you take into account the top performing players will routinely play under low level, alt smurf accounts, to grind and keep the high rating of their main account intact.
