You’re not wrong, capitalism has a million failings, but the people running the show always find new ways to keep the status quo. They can buy the system whenever needed, while the masses can, at best, get a free beating from the cops
Just your typical internet guy with questionable humor

And then you have Capcom, who put fucking denuvo years AFTER a game’s release
I’m not a dragon yet, repost moar!
Can I make t-shirts + shorts + flip flops become a new formal wear if it’s fashionable enough?
As for something more fashion-y, for men, I’d make something with lots of freedom of movement, aesthetics as pure afterthought. I hate stuff that shows my belly whenever my arms go up or legwear that won’t let me sit, crouch, stretch or anything without feeling like my fat ass can rip the fabric at any time.
Both also spend more time talking shit about one another and infighting than actually piling up against the so called common enemies.
Thanks for ignoring the mostly in my original comment and implying I was talking about all anime
Japan still mostly treats and creates anime as media for kids and teenagers
Kurumin Linux, which was a Brazilian distro based on Knoppix. This was back in 2006 or so, and that was my first hands-on experience with Linux.
I don’t fully remember whether everything worked out of the box, I think it connected to the internet no problem (cable), but what amazed me was:
1 - It ran off the CD drive without needing to install anything 2 - It had loads of preinstalled utility software 3 - Less than 700MB
I guess we just grew up and Japan still mostly treats and creates anime as media for kids and teenagers, not unlike how cartoons are still mostly “for kids”.
I don’t “hate” anime, like many people here, but some stuff just doesn’t entertain me anymore. I’m too old to find Dragon Ball Z and every other similar shonen even minimally entertaining. Hell, I was probably too old for that shit back when I was 19, I remember checking Bleach and giving up on episode 7 or whatever, though I think it was Naruto that “woke me up” when I was 16, I was watching it but wasn’t enjoying it for quite a while, until I just dropped it around ep 120, “this shit ain’t going nowhere”.
I’ve only watched Evangelion the first time during covid years, and it was clear it was two stories in one: the one they wanted to tell, which was kinda interesting, and their struggles with budget and how that affected the product.
The thing is that the anime that reaches mass appeal is meant for the masses, much like movies with mass appeal are the ones that require you to shut down your brain. The last 2 anime that I watched, enjoyed and wouldn’t mind watching again are Legend of Galactic Heroes and Taxi Driver, both are low on nonsense and bullshit.
More often than not, it’s just better to read the manga, when the anime’s based on one. Slam Dunk is a much better read than watching the anime, plus you end up knowing about the author’s other work, Vagabond, which is amazing.
Your comment reminded me of this very old meme
The next step after programmer socks
There are many ways to stop or deeply alter the Spanish Inquisition, like never getting christianity going, never getting islam going, ensuring the Arabs wipe out all the christian kingdoms of Andalusia, ensuring the Cordoba Caliphate doesn’t disintegrate, doing something to both Isabella I of Castille and Ferdinand II of Aragon so they don’t get into power.
That wouldn’t work because you’re a single person fighting against the same companies that finance climate change denialism. Hell, between understanding that leaded gasoline was harmful and banning it were at least 20 years
I’d invent the printing press during the classical era and watch what happens from there. I guess the folks at Carthage would also enjoy knowing about paper making, better wind-powered sails for ships and to be on the lookout for those “Romanes”
Lack of physical keyboard.
Being a flimsy piece of shit comes in second.
I’m aware how that applies to basically every smartphone from 2013 - today. Currently rocking a used Galaxy S8
I’d like ALL game advertising to be composed of at least 50% actual in game screenshots or or videos, but that would actually be consequential and good
For inconsequential, remove stupid-proofing from certain products, like “warning: contains eggs” in egg cartons
The migration that happened from xitter being blocked in Brazil is a good example of a bandwagon effect, or “people go where people are”. If xitter wasn’t taken down, neither bluesky nor threads would’ve received such a big and immediate influx.
Also worth noting is that the vast majority went for those 2, bluesky more so than threads, instead of any mastodon instance because those 2 are the mainstream alternatives
How do we get “normies” to adopt the Fediverse?
We don’t. Normies take one look at anything that isn’t mainstream and pinch their noses. A significant portion of them can barely make a search on the internet, they get lost at the idea of “websites” and are likely heavily biased against people who aren’t using what “everyone is using”
Anedoctal experience: back when I was using dating apps, I’ve had a fair share of girls that stopped talking to me once I said I didn’t have instagram, because it meant I was “hiding something”.
It sure is easy to grift squeenix out of their money nowadays, eh? I think I’ll start some new blockchain project, market it to whoever’s their CEO, get rich and get out.
To happen every frame without crashing the game, it’s more likely a warning ⚠️ “Warning, the texture is named 1.png instead of 1.PNG”
