The current system DOES allow it, it’s not a system like the American one, what does not allow it’s the will of the voters, those on the left would be cool with the idea, but they are not going to vote for it because they are not on the left and those on the right do not like a center party. It’s not the system, it’s the people.

The problem is that considering the Spanish PP as a center is a basic error, it is not fascist in the style of the German ultra-right, but it is more similar to Le Pen or Meloni than to Merkel, it is dominated by the most extreme wing since its foundation.

As long as NATO exists, the EU will never have a united army.

But for the European Union I would like a fully integrated common army, even more than the current NATO and that would not make sense without at least a partial political union, something that the EU already has and that neither Canada nor the UK want

I’m sorry but I think the UK and Canada should not be in that union. Being allies ok, being part of a military union not so much. The European Union must be a strong enough actor and to do so it must have its own aircraft carriers if you understand what I mean.

Well, you’ll see what happens with Trump in the White House. NATO as a collective defense organization is on the verge of failure. Europe has the obligation, if it wants to survive as an independent power, to replace it with its own army, it is an unavoidable imperative.

I don’t know what happens in Germany, but in Spain the media can be sensationalist about the issue sometimes, but official notices usually don’t. They are based on warning colors (yellow, orange, red and special red) when the warning is red there are always problems, not always deaths, but serious traffic problems and property damage at least.

It is true that on some occasions they have made mistakes with warnings that later did not amount to that much and this led to public debate, but these are specific occasions, most of the time when they usually warn they get messed up.

As someone from southern Europe, I’m tempted to feel some satisfaction after Schäuble and Merkel pushed us to the brink between 2008 and 2012. But if there’s one lesson we should have learned since then, it’s that we’re all in this together. I believe Germany should focus its national efforts—supported by the EU if needed—on achieving strong energy independence and reclaiming its position as a symbol of industrial excellence. Anything else will just lead to a lower quality of life for all of us.

Israel has killed countless civilians in Gaza, committing obvious crimes like indiscriminately cutting off running water, is invading a sovereign state without the slightest cause accepted by international law, committing crimes as collective punishment. It has been clearly endangering the security of states like Iran in what is a provocation that even the US has protested. But for you it is not the greatest danger to the security of the region, you cannot be serious.
