Is there a single good article on Forbes? It’s always fucking clickbait without actual content.

Yeah, as long as Firefox (or a fork) doesn’t have native gestures, I can’t fulltime swap to it. Gestures addons are not the same. Anyone that used vivaldi (or opera) for any serious length of time knows what I mean.
The blade runner soundtrack is my go to relax soundtrack. Have listened to it thousands of times by now.
I work for a large eu government agency. Why the hell they still insist that we promote our workings on Twitter completely eludes me. It does not make any sense whatsoever. They should get off and stop promoting that cesspool. Go to any of the myriad of competitors or just go back to Facebook and Instagram…
Fair enough. I’m raising my kids in a similar fashion. I dislike the sexual repression in the west (from which I unconsciously still suffer). But I’m still worried about other boys :)
Until your daughter comes home with a boyfriend with a fucked up sense of what sex is and ruins her day/week/month/year/life.
I’m certainly not pro government tracking anything I do, let alone porn watching, but if I see how my own kids get exposed to it through friends. No matter how much I try to educate them, friends still show them absolute vile stuff…
Also more commonly known as black for us simple folk.
Been using it for close to 10 years. Never had a single serious issue with it. Apps break now and then. A simple reboot of the server or the app fixes it every single time.
A lot of public torrents download and seed at insane speeds. Like “must be in the same building or even the same disk” speeds.
Have you been to Tokyo in a wheelchair? Tokyo is one of the most accessible major cities in the world. Its crazy how accessible it is (including public transport) compared to any other city in eg the EU or Asia.
No idea how accessible US cities are, but from what I gather, they are car centric, so it’s a whole different way of moving.
The walking is a non issue after a few weeks, you won’t even realize. I can’t remember the last weekday I didn’t get under 10k steps without doing any non essential walking. You’ll be much healthier for it.
I mean… Tell me you are pedantic without telling me you are pedantic…
Not refusing, but lately I basically don’t pirate games anymore. Steam made it so easy to buy games… + pirating games is always a pita with the required hacks etc. (or at least it was way back when I did it).
Software I don’t pirate, I just use foss stuff wherever I can.
I also don’t pirate books in general. Just get them on Kindle and support the author (and unfortunately also Jeff bezos)
I pay for Netflix (mainly for kids) and go to the theater for big movies, but aside from that I pirate all screen content.
I also pirate comics, but that’s 90% because it’s almost impossible to get them legally where I live. I would pay for DC unlimited if it was available in my neck of the woods.
Egypt is lowest on the rape list. There is a huge stigma to report a rape in Egypt. From what I gather, nobody trusts the Egyptian numbers.
My gut tells me the situation is similar in both Armenistan and Turkmenistan. Punishment for rape might be severe, but very likely the social pressure on the victims is also immense.
Big difference between reported rape and actual rape.
That being said, I hope for Turkmenistan and Armenia these numbers are for actual rape, good on them if it’s low.
I gave up on Linux when the repository for my Logitech mouse dongle stopped working 3y ago. Why couldn’t I get something as simple as a fucking mouse dongle work instantly blew my mind. Never bothered trying Linux again since.
Too much Linux evangelism here on Lemmy. Linux is absolutely not as user-friendly as Windows is for non techy ppl.
Would be gat in flemish dutch tbh. Not kont
They’ve added 3 (or 4) types in the past 28(?) years. The chart didn’t get that much more complex… That’s nothing for a such an old game…
Yup, I know. So until Firefox has native lvl gestures, I won’t switch :)
Nope. Doesn’t allow gestures on internal pages. Eg new tabs, menu, settings, etc… It doesn’t work in the entire browser
Or native gestures in Firefox. Either would be perfect.
