Did Star Trek noticeably increase the ability for people to spread their middle and ring finger? 🤔🤔🤔

Everyone is defederated from somewhere. There’s an entire dark fedi that basically everyone has defederated from.

There were like fifteen tickets at a $60 price point, which were technically the cheapest tickets but were basically just a fiction. The nosebleeds for the final do start at like twice that, but group stage matches are cheaper. I do think your broader point is spot on — this is a way to lower prices without admitting they’re lowering prices due to suppressed demand.

I suspect Criterion pays pretty well for the traffic to their store to move DVDs.

I mean, just truly shameless:
Infantino shrugged off the palpable embarrassment of those present to announce the worst-kept secret in sport, that he will seek re-election next year. The election will take place at the Fifa congress in Rabat, Morocco, and he is unlikely to face any opposition.

This, and also it’s okay to go a little crazy, as a treat. Get like, an unhealthy obsession with sea turtles or really into witchcraft or something. We went a little crazy about making sourdough during the pandemic and it was kinda nice.

Dragonite – I love his derpy little wings.

Right now it’s the middle of the night in the US, so I reckon most folks is sleepin.
The ideal beverage to pair with a ragin cajun from other coast

I have a lot of confidence you’ll do well here — anyone considerate enough to worry about this in advance is considerate enough to succeed in the endeavor.

Most of the support won’t be things you say, it’ll be things you do: a cup of tea and a blanket when they’re struggling. Making sure they eat regularly and healthfully. Putting your arms around them when they cry. Getting them out of the house to move their body. Finding the perfect sentiment is much less effective than a well-timed cupcake.

I can and I will.

I cold brew coffee for 2-3 days on my kitchen counter and then store the resulting pitcher in the fridge for a couple of weeks. I don’t have a lot of experience with iced coffee, but I would be surprised if there was a significant difference in how well it keeps.

Added it to my watchlist! Are all the other FLCLs with music genres (FLCL Grunge, FLCL Shoegaze etc) related and/or worth watching?

A mon dieu! Qu’est que ce passe a droit? Cette un cauchemar.

I saw 2009’s Redline for the first time tonight, and it was absolutely wild. Completely over the top in the very best way, and absolutely gorgeous.

I find intensifying to be more natural than negating for things like “I couldn’t care less,” or “irregardless,” or “misunderestimate” to a certain extent — if something is “worthwhile regardless,” I don’t have to regard that, but if it is “worthwhile irregardless,” I really don’t have to think about it at all. It just seems right that if I put a bunch of negative words in one sentence, it should be really, really negative, instead of it being negative if I used an odd number and positive if I used an even number; same with prefixes and suffixes. I think it’s probably too much to try to reform English to work as such, but if I were building a conlang it’s what I would do.
I would quote Paradise Lost by Milton to express this sentiment: “The mind is its own place, and in it self / Can make a Heav’n of Hell, a Hell of Heav’n.”
