Had a talk with a guy recently. He’s always putting other people ahead of him to give his life meaning. And yet it also stresses him out, doesn’t get anything in return, and is only doing it because of a hypothetical “they’d do the same”. But they don’t?

My job is shopping around for third party customer support vendors. One of their pitches I kept hearing was, “We don’t lie to you about times.”
And then they shared how their competitors were trained on a method of customer service where their goal was to get you to hang up as fast as possible to increase their velocity Metrics. So they would literally lie to you. Thinking it was a joke, I googled and yeah, apparently that was a REAL tactic done for decades.
I’m not familiar with UK laws. Is the lease bundled with insurance?

I got a motorcycle and paid for insurance. When someone stole my bike and police caught the guy and put it in the impound, my scummy ass insurance called me to go see if it’s okay? Like bro, that’s your job.
Then they said if I was willing to sign a contract that the bike was fine without allowing me to see it. I said no.
Finally they gave up and wrote me a check for the cost of the bike.

Ranma 1/2, Squid Games, Super Mario Bros Movie, new season of Arcane. I felt like every 1-2 months, there was always something interesting.

Koreans have no beef with Ukraine. They’re fighting in a war for a paycheck.

My dishwasher broke and for a year, our dishes got progressively ickier and ickier. Then we got a new one and everything felt clean again.
Maybe it was all mental. But the hot wash kills a lot.

2000s, with permission from the HS computer teacher, I was installing Red Hat on a few computers. It was ROUGH. Like, yeah we got it to show a desktop, but it was a nightmare to use anything but the basic applications. Windows just worked and after a few months, went back to that.
Only during the pandemic did I finally go Linux. Started with ElementaryOS (highly recommend for old people) and went through a dozen other flavors. What really pushed me to expert level was setting up Linux servers.
I no longer code on a Windows machine (unless I have to), and absolutely would recommend Linux to any end user. And now with Steam Deck/SteamOS, it’s only getting better. My gaming computer is still Windows, but I’m going to let it sunset. I barely use it except to play high-spec games that aren’t on Steam Deck. But that’s getting rarer and rarer.
The sign isn’t for us who knows women are people.
It’s for a percentage of people who don’t realize when they are vote Republican and their many anti-women policies – it affects their mothers, sisters, daughters, etc.
That was their biggest struggle.
