The last couple of times I went to a Redbox, I felt like all the movies were knock offs. To be fair, I have no idea if this is because they were or because I don’t really watch advertisements and have no idea what’s out.
I wonder which vehicle is legitimately safer. I think crumple zones are a big part of why wrecks are so much more survivable now. I don’t think it’d be a simple as most mass wins, but more how the vehicle transfers that to occupants.
I know I got rear ended by one of those beasts and it totalled my car, but didn’t seem to bother the tank that hit me. I was shocked at the damage because it didn’t really feel that bad. Of course I don’t really know anything about vehicle safety so I could real easily be wrong.
I mean, I’d probably want a door.

It’s easier to imagine a different world than it is to imagine one without capitalism.
I think maybe the rich folks just don’t think about their staff or employees as people, or they think they’re out to get them.
I work manufacturing adjacent and see a lot of this attitude from the management layer. They think they own people and that every dollar they give them, every break, every word not out of necessity is the worker pulling one over on them.
It’s a sad othering, like they’re not raking in money with these people. It’s like they think the money is coming no matter what, and every wasted moment is direct theft in opposition to them.
