The tariffs are absolutely fucking up our country right now, and I live in the US, and we absolutely deserve it. It’s affecting every single one of my projects (I work in an engineering/manufacturing company). Turns out 10-25% tariffs really cuts out a lot of the margin for people so we’ve had to significantly bump prices on aerospace components. This in turn will drive ticket prices up eventually as well. It’s also affecting our groceries. And then the side effects of all of it, is the boycotts from numerous countries. It’s absolutely crushing our trade.

That said, all of the boycotts are absolutely fantastic. Keep it up. Our lead-addled half of the US needs to understand what isolationist policies do to our country. Maybe it’ll be the wake up call that people need to understand that international cooperation is the key to success.

I use it to make edible gummies. You can’t taste the gelatin at all. It’s a cup of fruit juice, a cup of infused oil, 10 drops of flavoring oil, 5 packs of gelatin powder, and a small pack of flavored gelatin.

It’s just tastes fruity and wonderful. I don’t get any meaty taste, and I’m using arguably more gelatin than most people would.

Yeah. Terrine is a better generalized word for it.

More sense? I don’t agree with you. Gelatin is a blank slate. Has pretty much zero flavor and can take on the taste of pretty much whatever you put into it. It gels up. That’s pretty much it, it’s up to you to decide what you want to do with it.

That said, it’s very versatile cooking ingredient. Is great in soups and stocks. Making gummies. Making gels, custards, pudding. It’s great as a binder. Not a great emulsifier, but you can do it with enough blending, however it breaks at higher temperatures.

Terrine in general is fantastic as charcuterie. I’d be totally fine with head cheese. I get that the process is gross, but it tastes great. Kind of like pate.

The whole process of farm to table is gross if you think about it.

Oh, they have their own memes, comics, famous users/posters, copypasta, etc, except it feels more like your stuck on r/all with a smaller userbase. Comments are, I believe still locked at 140 characters, so conversation is severely limited. It was fun - I was an Imgur user for several years before I realized that Reddit was really everything I wanted from Imgur. Literally haven’t gone back since I switched to Reddit about 10 years ago

What can I do to help? It’s absolutely fucked that world governments are just allowing this to happen. The US or France or Germany could literally just roll in with an armed fleet and say that they are there to prevent civilian deaths, any attempts to fire upon, accidentally or on purpose, will be met with such swift and stark retribution that the Devil itself will be jealous of the hellfire achieved that day. Do not fuck with us or you will regret it.
