My mother was a hippy before I was born, marched in every march going when I was a kid. Anti war, greenpeace, Land Rights the works. The last thing she did on her drive to the hospital for what would turn out to be her last time, was post in her postal vote for gay marriage rights. She was 74 years old. You don’t get more conservative as you get older unless you choose to.

Meh. Only one party wants to take away my rights or stop my friends from getting married because they’re both women, make birth control illegal, kill people for performing in drag and let 12 year olds get married. . Your idea of “just as bad” is a little strange.

Always better to date someone that thinks you have rights.

I got to show my niece and nephew the diet coke and mentos thing. It has become a core memory for the 3 of us and was one of my top 10 funnest days of my life. Sharing knowledge is fun.

I call that sticker the “I’m a racist and a wife beater” confessional sticker.

Only one generation got to do that though. The post war generation with strong unions. Before that, but like now, unless you were rich, every damn person in the family worked, including the kids and if you were lucky by the end of your 70 hour work week you had enough to pay the rent and feed everyone.

Also Allianz, Audi, BASF, Bayer, Zeiss, Siemens oh and Hugo Boss just to name a few. Were directly involved with Nazis using forced labor among other things. Oh and lets not forget Ford in the USA. Produced vehicles for the Nazis, and openly supported them. Lots of companies still around today got a lovely big kick start because of the Nazis.

As I said in my comment, I get that point, it’s not hard to get. I was merely pointing out saying that a submarine can’t sink, means the submarine is a boat not a submarine. And the sub full of millionaires sunk a little too well.

OK I get the point, but the point of submarines is that they are sink, but it is also that they can unsink on demand. Otherwise they’d just be boats. It’s like assless chaps, all chaps are assless otherwise they’d be pants.
