Lemmy: Less vitriolic to AI-assisted software than Reddit
Is that true? Lemmy users mostly hate AI in my experience

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•SOLVED: Is it in any way incorrect to interpret a downvote as a "fuck you" in a 1-on-1 convo?
4·11 days agoThere is no karma here so it literally doesn’t matter, I would try to not worry about it

Programming@programming.dev•Anyone else mass-renaming env variables and instantly regretting it?
3·11 days agoI’ve not done this specifically, but I know the pain of wanting to make things neat and it breaking things. Then having to live with the unsatisfying setup instead of making everything symmetrical and scratching my brain itch.

Fediverse@lemmy.world•Why can't comments be fully deleted on Lemmy?English
3·11 days agoMaybe! I also don’t know how things work under the hood.

Fediverse@lemmy.world•Why can't comments be fully deleted on Lemmy?English
3·11 days agoI agree with this but it doesn’t fully explain why the comment itself gets removed while the fact that you commented doesn’t. If the explanation is deletion can’t be enforced across instances, why half-delete it? I think ultimately that’s just a design choice.
Never read the book but really liked this movie. One of my favorites recently. Glad I had no spoilers and no idea what to expect, I read that the trailers gave away too much.
Tap for spoiler
At first I thought I’d be annoyed by how anthropomorphized Rocky’s actions and speech were, but in the end I forgot about that and it served the feel-good vibes really well.

Showerthoughts@lemmy.world•Not once in my entire life have I ever "accidentally" unsubscribed from an email list.
59·12 days agoIt’s a dark pattern. Some % of people will drop without properly reconfirming, so they avoid some unsubs.
I don’t bother categorizing them, as someone else said it’s just extra steps, for what? When I need a password it either autofills or I search for it by name.
Google wallet is not something a “deGoogled” phone needs to worry about
I don’t use PayPal much, but is there anything about it you can’t just do in a web browser?
How:
- Get a pixel (or soon a Motorola)
- Install GrapheneOS
- Everything just works
- Profit
This seems a bit extreme to me. I have services exposed to the Internet, with reverse proxy and auth.
Can you give some examples of the bloat?

I use Pinchflat, there’s a similar one called Youtarr also.
