This is a test account for testing out lemmy.
Bio update test: 2024-03-13
That’s not the purpose. I just wanted it to be clearly visible for people to tell my home instance without having to check my account. (This is my alt account.)
I had to do it this way due to stupid username decision. I didn’t yet know what Lemmy was, so I used the same username I used on SDF.org, which was yet another stupid decision: I just wanted to test it out without wasting my desired username, but a good user verified that account for me, thus I got stuck with the username.
My favorite is FileNow. Without account, file.coffee allows up to 15MB and with account up to 30MB. On the other hand FileNow allows uploading up to 300 files or 8GB at once with no account, you can set up automatic deletion and also download password. Downside is it doesn’t keep files permanently:
Is there a limit on how long files are stored?
When the server’s data capacity is filled, files will be deleted starting from the file with the oldest last download.
Files that are continuously downloaded will never go away.
Which can vary greatly.
Yes it’s direct link to mp4 file.
But someone also told me that he can’t see embedded media in his app and that it also doesn’t seem to work well for kbin users, so I also included the link in description for compatibility. I also noticed it doesn’t accept HTTP but it works with HTTPS. You can also embed audio files the same way. ![text](link)
E.g.: the Bulgarian Radio 1
Apparently, text
should show when you hover your mouse over the media, but I am on a phone so I can’t test it. Edit: Doesn’t do anything, maybe it’s just for images?
And yes, I am the OP, but I couldn’t comment from my main account due to issue I explained here: https://sh.itjust.works/comment/1073033
Yes, this post is meant to be deleted.
Nope, it’s a video.
Neither of them.
(I am OP) I now can’t access this post from my original instance. I wanted to edit the title and I forgot that can be done on Lemmy, so I deleted the post. However it only deleted it from my home instance where I now can’t access it. I decided to check if it’s the same with comments, and yeah, they don’t get deleted from other instances either. So as a result, this post is now only unavailable on lemmy.sdf.org. :-/
You could normally see the original post by clicking on the rainbow federation icon.
Edit: The bug is already on GitHub https://github.com/LemmyNet/lemmy/issues/3588
*for when
But yeah, this is it.
