Peaceful protests actually work better, but requires actual action not just sitting at home and upvoting shit.

Poland was able to overthrow authoritarian regime via peaceful protests, general strikes. Yes, at moments they turned violent, but it is because the government escalated it.

We don’t want this administration to use protest’s violence to be used to consolidate their power, instead we want the violence caused by the government to encourage more people to join protests. It is more of us than them, we actually have more power and it is a matter of everyone realizing this.

China is hardly a communism right now, Russia definitively isn’t a communism. So the current tankies that are worshipping Russia and China aren’t really for communism, they are only pro authoritarianism.

Since this is world community there are people in other countries, and might be different definition what’s far left. But in US what authoritarians are labeling as far left are people who still want liberal democracy, but with social programs (what you have in EU, especially in Scandinavian countries). The “furthest left” politicians, Bernie Sanders is basically advocating for medical care for all Americans and taxes on rich. Basically so the government works for the people but against them.

Today’s tankies (appropriately to the name) are pro authoritarianism and it just “happens” that’s what far right Russia is. Even China isn’t truly a communism, but they are both authoritarian.

IMO, everyone in UK should be protesting and demanding to rejoin EU. Russia successfully was able to make UK withdraw through disinformation, and this only made UK weaker.
