The richest third world country.

The richest third world country.

Didn’t Richardson blow them up? His character was quite wacko, so I thought it fit into the movie. I didn’t think too hard about it, though, which is evident because I finished the movie.

I watched a triple feature of the extended edition in a cinema years ago. What an experience, to spend the entire day there. During a break we got Chinese takeout, the people from the cinema didn’t care. But the people sitting in front of us were annoyed. Or jealous, because they didn’t have this genius idea and instead had to eat the overpriced garbage from the concession stand. I prefer to believe it’s the latter.

10.000 Euro per month? WTF kinda money do you make that you can afford to just pass that much on?

Who cares?

Back when I was at uni I had a fellow student from England who complained about the formal you in German. It took him to start learning Japanese to realize it’s really not that bad. In German it used to be that you say Sie to any adult-looking person until you both agreed to use du. At work this is a lot more relaxed now with entire companies stating everybody used du. Makes it much easier and nicer, in my opinion.

I heard about people using multiple used 3090s in a single motherboard for this. Apparently it delivers a lot of bang for the buck, as compared to a single card with loads of VRAM.

Exactly. I don’t know why anybody is surprised about this shit. They literally wrote down what they’d do once they came back into power. Project 2025 is their Mein Kampf.

Well, that sounds good. But my god is that a complicated mess. It’s not working for me and I don’t have the will to deal with that crap anymore. Set up my own CouchDB, ran the init script, connection test is fine. But I can’t get the plugin to actually sync anything, it just keeps failing with “Failed to initialise the encryption key, preventing replication”. Whatever that means. It won’t explain which encryption key or what failed. I did not enable E2E encryption.

In general, yes. The main app works fine. But when I try to connect the notes app to my account, it just crashes and loops back.
Edit: Nevermind, I fixed it. Works fine now and looks to be exactly what I need. It was also trivial to import all my Trilium notes.

Well, OK, you got me to give that a try!

Why videos? I feel like an old man yelling at clouds every time something that sounds interesting is presented in a fucking video. Videos are so damn awful. They take time, I need audio and I can’t copy&paste. Why have they become the default for things that should’ve been a blog post?

I’m not mentally ill enough for that. 😛

That solution doesn’t exactly spark joy. Folder sync in general is, in my experience, too error prone. So I just stay away from it. Maybe I’ll need to finally give it another try.

I have a Nextcloud instance, which I don’t use much because the native apps are janky as fuck. I tried the notes app just now and it just won’t even let me connect to my account. That’s a level of bullshit I don’t have the energy to deal with. Which is sad, because it would be nice to use something I already have.

Exactly. I was kind of happy there’s another Tron movie. But when I saw Leto’s in it, I lost all interest.

This is exactly my immediate reaction. Whenever they find something amazing in China I just assume they’re making shit up again.

I don’t know. I think there are good shows and bad shows and it doesn’t matter how many episodes per season they have. It doesn’t matter how much they split it up, if they just keep on making up stuff just for the sake of going on instead of working towards a planned goal. With the shorter shows I get the feeling that they knew where they were going when filming started more than with the older 24 episode shows. But as I said, you get good and bad examples for both long and short seasons.

I built a notifier for new movie releases for myself and there are so many of these movies. One would think the market is saturated by now, but apparently there are enough people who enjoy this kind of content for the never ending onslaught.
