The Invisible Man and His Soon-to-Be Wife was the most adorable show I watched all year. I’m a sucker for positive representation.

Sounds a hell of a lot better than the dead end job I just left. Are they hiring?

Senpai
Bonus points if you make an overly exaggerated effort to talk like a caricature of an anime romcom protagonist.

Curious to hear more about what the controversy is. I have a soft spot for media about disability when done well, but when done poorly…

They already discontinued the vending machines because of this.

Chainsmoker Cat OP isn’t just hands down the best OP of the season, it’s a pretty strong contender for best OP of all time. I don’t know what’s more insane, this OP, or, uh, the rest of the show.

The longest battle in manga history is Akagi’s mahjong match against Washizu, which took 20 years of serialization to complete. The match begins in chapter 70, published in 1997 and concludes in chapter 296, published in 2017. That’s one match that spanned a total of 226 chapters.
So if you ever wondered why the 2005-2006 anime just cuts off partway through the match, that’s because they’d caught up and were more than a decade away from actually being able to finish the arc. There is a live action adaptation that ran from 2015-2018, and does cover the whole thing start-to-finish.
Some films are made for turning your brain off and some films are made for turning it on. The important thing is whether the filmmaker succeded in what they were aiming to do.
Seconding Apocalypse Hotel, absolutely phenomenal.

In addition to what everyone else said about it being an easy scapegoat to rile up voters, I don’t think those in power actually care about getting rid of immigrants. What they really want is to make conditions even harder for immigrants, making them more desperate and thus easier to exploit. They want to make immigrants into an extreme underclass that will have no choice but to accept even worse working conditions with even worse under-the-table pay, knowing any complaint will lead to immediate deportation.

Would The Penguin count?

They should just do Muppet remakes of everything instead.
I almost don’t feel like ‘good’ is the appropriate type of adjective to use for a show like this. It’s utterly horrific, but I mean that as a compliment.
If you think Light’s intentions were ever good, I think you kinda missed the point of the show. His very first targets were only petty criminals, the fact that he didn’t set his sights on real monsters showed that he always had a warped sense of justice even from the beginning.

They still haven’t shut down their dependence on fossil fuels, so

Perhaps, but if so it’s the most harmless kind of cash grab. Getting to see a beloved classic in the theater is nice, especially if I didn’t get to see it back in the day. I’ve been looking forward to the Ghibli reruns. They get some cash to grab, I get to see Princess Mononoke on IMAX, sounds fair to me.
My bachelor’s degree in CS hasn’t even gotten me a single interview yet. Feeling like it’s not worth the paper it’s printed on.

Frieren: Beyond Jouney’s End is absolutely incredible. Even if you don’t watch anime I’d still recommend this as a gateway into the medium.
All of their replies are extremely obvious AI-speak. Even just the act of responding to a tongue-in-cheek three word post with multiple paragraphs is enough of a dead giveaway.
I got my degree in Computer Science a decade ago, but never got my foot in the door. I feel like my degree is not worth the paper its printed on, recruiters only want experience, but I can’t get experience because I don’t have experience.
I spent the last seven years working an unrelated dead-end data entry job, but they kept increasing the workload until I couldn’t handle it anymore. I’ve spent over a year sending resumes out into the void and haven’t even gotten a single interview yet.
It might not be the single worst degree of all, but at least in terms of degrees you’d expect to be worth something, I think CS has the biggest gap between expectation and reality.
