One thing I noticed is that when you add this feed, it will automatically add all the communities on the listed feed.

This is probably fine for most people, but something to note if you aren’t that interested in something that is on the feed.

Hopped over to Lemmy around that time and learned about the Fediverse. And now I’m checking out PieFed.

What a ride it’s been.

I mean…we all swore we were against them removing password sharing but turns out they were right.

I use … Tuxedo OS btw.

First off, thank you for supporting PieFed and providing us with an app that we can use. I know it’s a lot of work and so far it’s been decent.

I only have small minor gripes but most of them are cosmetic and could just be specific to my own taste.

1. Could we add an option to show some of the ‘action buttons’ in compact mode? I generally prefer using compact mode as opposed to a full card. And it would be nice to be able to upvote/downvote a thread quickly. I think the compact threads are a bit crammed as is, so it might require some adjusting to make it work and look nice. Just a suggestion though.

2. Not sure if we could do this already, but could we sort the communities in alphabetical order in the pull out drawer?

3. The compact mode card … the titles are always cut off at the thumb nail. Perhaps it would be better to just make the card taller to accommodate the title. They could just be varying card heights depending on the title of the thread.

4. Maybe some colored text highlighting to separate either the user or instance, rather than have everything just one color.

Okay, that’s it for now. Again, these are just suggestions for aesthetics and more my own personal taste. They could be something everyone else hates lol. And ofc, some of the things you mentioned already such as flairs would be nice to have … maybe once they appear in the PieFed API.

Anyways, thanks again for all your work and finding a way for us to give feedback. I don’t want to come off as demanding or anything as you don’t owe us anything.

Oh this is very exciting! I’m new to PieFed and things look pretty awesome on this side of the Fediverse.

Yeah, I think having a strong, vibrant mobile app ecosystem like Lemmy would go a long way. Probably the only thing keeping me back from using PieFed full time at this point. But PieFed seems really promising nonetheless!

Here from lemmy.ca and kind of the first time I heard of PieFed. Seems pretty cool!
