It is great, but it never feels smoother than Summit, Boost or Sync :/
Especially while scrolling, swiping back posts or going to your subscriptions.
I can’t use Lemmy without mark as read on scroll and clear read posts (client side), are those both features on Jerboa?
Maybe I have been a little less active, but that is because Sync for Lemmy is too broken to use.
My two best alternatives are Boost (currently using it) then Summit for Lemmy :)
Short answer: yes.
Medium answer: yes because I want to not use Sync for Reddit to get into anime, Plex/Kodi/Stremio/Real Debrid/Arr stack, and handhelds communities.
I could care less about trending shit and reels reposting… But that is the downside of exponential growth I guess.
Only the Bitwarden back-end uses proprietary code
So this was what it changed then?
I also self-host Vaultwarden because it is stupidly simple…
Do you know if I need to reconfigure my folders?
I guess if the transition is not smooth there is still time for them to adapt something until the very end…
On another hand, it seems like we all deposited all our eggs in one basket huh?
I really can’t think of many Synching replacements… Even when I know there are a few.
Do people really use VLC to listen to music?
I can take that argument but also, how is that people is that unaware of how to do these kinds of process, many of those people study or work in something that relates with tech, are you telling me it is just because they didn’t learn of use it in their earlier days?
Also, it is way easier to pirate nowadays than before, that evolved too you know?
I’d say the biggest culprit is laziness… Or entitlement.
DNS challenge? It is the 1st time I read about it.
I suppose in your LAN you need no VPNs then?
Hmm, interesting, how would I start doing this?
I use a Synology NAS BTW, so it already gives me a Synology subdomain to mess around.
A VPN? you still need a reverse proxy/domain to use it don’t you?
Until I read that comment I thought there wasn’t a sequel lol.
It seems like I didn’t miss anything.
Yelp? Nobody uses that here haha, only Facebook, Whatsapp and Google maps.
The miss that sells me tacos in the corner does not accept it yo, only cash :(
I use Trakt, MAL and HLTB to achieve what you are looking for (I don’t know what else gamefaqs delivers than HLTB, I just use the latter for adding shit to my backlog).
Well, once again they still hurt more the “legal” clients, nothing new really.
I still happily have my ad-less YT experience in all the devices I own (as a matter of fact, I just convinced my girlfriend to sideload a YT client to get her a similar experience of mine in her iPhone).
Same, but when I sit and do stuff in my laptop I end up procrastinating even more with it than my phone… Anyway, I block ads everywhere I can, and when I cannot, usually I have a pihole running in the background for that in my local network.
To be honest, I had a lot of fun jailbreaking and tinkering with it, but I can count on one hand how many times I’ve gamed on it since.
I thought this was why we do this, I have done a similar hack process to lots of devices (software side) and most of them are sitting in a drawer.
Are you telling me we really made Lemmy that good to be as
goodbad as Reddit? 🤯
