For real. I never feed my cat shortly after waking up. So she never wakes me up, because she knows she won’t get what she wants.

I moved back in with my parents because of reasons. Against my request, they started feeding her as soon as they wake up. So now my cat wakes them up earlier every day. She still never bothers me because she is perfect. My parents complain, and I don’t know what to tell them beyond “stop rewarding her when she wakes you up in the morning… like I told you.”

I know exactly what you mean. All the little alerts that remind me to keep my eyes on the road or whatever are actually more distracting than just letting me look at the road. All of these things are designed for people who suck at driving so much that they shouldn’t be allowed to drive a car, anyway.

Whenever I’m driving, I’m generating my own road noise and listening to music. Just like most other drivers. People around here barely react to emergency sirens, they’re not hearing the busted pipes on an abused Harley. Motorcycle guys just like making loud noises, if they cared about safety? They wouldn’t ride a motorcycle.

I think motorcycles are cool as hell. But since the introduction of modern workplace safety laws, motorcycle crashes are the leading cause of amputations in the USA, so I’ll never ride one. I don’t think they should be banned, but it blows my mind that people choose to ride them given how dangerous they are.
