I just can’t get behind this mentality. Yes things aren’t great in a lot of ways, but there is still great amounts of creativity and innovation all around us. If you stick to algorithms and pop culture to find it, you will be disappointed, but if you put some work in to find gems among the artists at work today, you can still find very inspiring work.
I also find cruising on the highway with other safe drivers enjoyable, but maybe that just makes me car brained :D
