  • No.

You have a kid, but it’s your decision.

Sounds like she’s trying to skip the part where she fucked up and she should apologize to you and give you some space. Instead she’s leaving you an impossible choice.

But you can talk to your son and tell him how much it stings and that you just can’t do it. Sure you can “put all the bad blood behind” but it takes two for that and you can’t force someone to reconcile by pressuring them with their son and luring them with a paid for vacation.

This makes me mad for you, this is so unfair. No one has to take that offer, and your son will understand. Maybe your ex will understand too, but it looks like she’s still too immature to understand right now.

  • Really hard to give advice when there’s a lot of factors involved, like:

    • how long have you been together with your kid and your second wife?
    • did she know what she was signing up to?
    • how much time are you dedicating to her vs to the kid?

And then, jealousy is a subjective feeling. Now because you know how she feels, if you are spending basically no time with her then you might be able to carve out some more time for the both of you, but the main part of dealing with the feels is on her. Growing a better connection to you or the kid is also on her. And communication is key. Relationships are hard and complicated, that’s why you gotta talk a lot.

  • Yeah as someone who’s been producing for 6y I haven’t looked into LMMS a lot but that’s also because I did not really like what I saw particularly. Ardour looks a bit more robust.

There’s the argument that you can make every type of tool have the same effect if you use it properly, but imo it’s a big difference in the end. So plugins will always be a bit of a struggle for compatibility in Linux (I’m sorry Linux power users, but I’ve been there and had to go back). Otherwise it might be a viable option.

  • One of the bigger cities in Germany.

We have a mayor for our district, who is basically a blank slate to 95% of people. It doesn’t help that he lives together with his family in a different district. He is a member of one of our political parties and specifically one I don’t particularly like.

For some reason I was in the same school class with his son, who was pretty chill, but got very annoying when it came to politics (of course).

So basically the mayor does a lot of city management stuff but the average person has no clue who he is or what exactly he does.

I would imagine that’s very unique compared to most other countries but I’m not sure.

  • I got a very light tendency to sensory overload but to me it’s not a pain, I respond to annoying sounds, and I am a little bit more sensitive and have a little bit stronger reactions to it. And when I get overloaded, my brain kinda shuts off, I can’t reason, I get very angry and I can’t properly communicate anymore.

Imagine someone is punching you randomly every minute but you can’t do anything about it. You start getting irrational. That’s the exact feeling.

What I’m saying is, what OP’s describing is very different and they should definitely see a doctor about it, because even for a sensory condition it doesn’t sound normal.

    • nothing. I have autism. There’s nothing wrong with me, but I’m obviously a little bit different like other people, which in itself is neither good nor bad.

    • because we need a descriptor and that’s just what my friends use; we know what we mean with it and what we don’t.

Also I’m gonna take those questions at face value, but I’m just gonna note the first question is a bit out out of left field, as no one implied that something’s wrong with that.

But I don’t wanna assume you are an asshole, so I’m gonna take it as a misunderstanding.

  • Let’s go through examples:

    “He’s retarded” - that’s a slur, unless it’s ironic.

“That was retarded” - not a slur, cause it’s kinda taking a dig at an action, not a person.

“I’m retarded” - technically a slur but almost always used with a hint of irony, therefore usually not a slur.

That’s how I use the word with my friends. And I have autism, so technically 100 years ago I would have been the resident retard ;)
