So home Depot actually had contactless payment for a while like a decade ago but when they switched to new card terminals they got rid of it. No clue why it disappeared but probably a money thing.

I work at a big box hardware store and our Halloween stuff has been on clearance for like a week maybe two at this point. Christmas has been up since the beginning of this month or the end of last month but the big box across the way apparently had their Christmas set up in August.
They should have gone Vampire for the middle name and Abraham for the first name, would have been a really nice tribute to the 16th President of the United States
It’s also the same gesture he uses when talking about Arnold Palmer, it can get confusing.
One of the guys I work with now won’t stop sweeping at work it’s annoying as all hell. Now every time I see a broom outside of work I have a negative response to it, I might have PTSD. Anyways thanks for your service.
I got it, I did the math and figured it out Windows 95 is man-made disaster that happens in 2027!
Just checked my emails and I’m coming up on 20 years ordained on November. I was the 3rd backup minister for my sister’s wedding in 2015, closest I’ve come to using the status.
I work in retail so the only thing that changed for me during the pandemic was my level of anxiety.
I’d just like to point out the rumor from the Steele dossier wasn’t that Trump got peed on by prostitutes it’s that he paid them to pee on a bed that the Obamas had once slept in which is somehow weirder to me.
I think she’s actually left LMG, I either saw a YouTube video from her or am just imagining she uploaded one announcing she had left the company.
Modern ones are, all the supercar manufactures have taken a device that you could never guarantee wouldn’t just catch on fire, or breakdown, or for that matter even start up and turned them into appliances.
I’m not disagreeing with you but Destin from smarter everyday had a video where he did a ride along in an Air Force fighter jet and by far the least interesting part of the video was when they broke the sound barrier and were flying super sonic. They were up at like cruising altitude though so that’s the main reason it was mostly uninteresting.
I’ve been half assed looking for a new tv for like 5 years now, I haven’t seen a larger TV for sale that want smart in that time.
I don’t even think it’s limited to the cheaper brands. I thought I heard about Samsung (or some other similarly large vendor) TVs connecting to networks their servers knew about for updates and stuff all of course without your interaction/consent. I might have just read that as a possible future thing though it was a while back that I saw it.
Lgr did a video 6 years ago where he threw Ms dos 6.22 onto a modern gaming PC just for the hell of it. It has some issues with booting but he it ran. PC specs were a ryzen 5 1600x with a 980ti. And at some point in the video you can see on the monitor he’s using that it was using HDMI.
Just last week I was walking through a Finish forest late at night. I had heard some howling earlier in the night but hadn’t really thought about it in a while. So I’m walking along and I hear a twig snap and I freeze then BAM blinding light from like 10 feet away. This god damn wolf was standing 10 feet away from me holding a flashlight in its front paw. He apologized, said he though I might have been a deer, then told me to be careful and let me go on my way.
Anyways we traded numbers real nice wolf that one, I think we’re going to go sauna together next week.
Unit 1 at three mile island only stopped producing power in 2019. The company that owned the unit (both units at TMI are owned by different companies) were in the process of decommissioning the unit but was expecting to finish until 2079. They apparently said in 2017 it was costing to much to generate power there. This all from wikipedia.
This is how I got my first Ubuntu isos. In 2006ish I had a bondi blue iMac G3 that I got from a friend. I wanted to put Linux on it but my Internet was pretty meh so I ordered the Ubuntu disks for all three supported architectures at the time. I never got it running on that iMac because it would kernel panic while loading from the disk.
As a left handed person this checks out.
