The only thing I have inventoried is what’s in the attic. Everything is in large plastic totes by category. I keep a text file listing each tote and what’s in each. You looking for something specific? Search for that word in the text file and then go open up tote F3.
The totes are color coded based on what category of item is in them & have their contents written on the lids using a chalkboard marker for anyone in the family who doesn’t want to use the text file.
Even though my wife subscribes to Netflix, I would buy Midnight Mass on Blu-ray. They are missing out on taking our money twice.
I made SO many self-extracting archives back in the day. My friends just couldn’t be bothered to use 7zip.
I worked with a woman who’d just gotten off meth. She swore that she got sick more often while clean because… meth was made out of cold medicine.
My lump charcoal smoker.
Show us the hands! Willie, in the public domain, doesn’t wear gloves. Mickey, still Disney IP, does wear gloves.
I moved to LMDE 6 when it came out, moving over from regular Mint. It’s so nice and boring… Which is exactly how I like my computer to be.
There’s an exhibitor at my state fair who specializes in hard to find movies/episodes. He’s got a DVD of it than I’m sure is on the level.
Double Z’s will save and then exit. The command on until board will exit without saving changes.
I worked there in college. I had to straighten these all the time because people tried to reach up and take one… Instead of the nicely folded ones that were within arm’s reach.
This is one of the best things I’ve seen. Have some worthless internet points!
Take a look at this post. It covers some names and stories about contributions that make modern interfaces what they are today.
Xerox did so much for modern computing. If only people knew.
We’ve got an elevator at work that is… less than reliable. To reset the elevator is a giant breaker BUT sometimes it’s not the mechanics in the elevator but the control board. To reset that board is just a GFI. Also the lights in the elevator are a different light switch in the same closet.
Stallman prefers to refer to it as Coffee + Creamer.
Give Linux Mint Debian Edition a look!
I’ve done my fair share of distro hopping. Mint is the distribution that I have to do the least amount of configuring starting from a clean install.
The real Magic Mouse is the Logitech Powerplay. You’ll never convince me otherwise.
