…do you know how crowded Costco is on Sundays.
As a German: I hate you.

Absolutely. And I was so in love with a student of history/culture studies that I went in there twice with her. Our relationship failed after less then 6 months. So I endured this abomination of a movie twice and suffered from real bad heartache all within a year. Life isn’t fair.
I wasn’t one of those chavs walking out. I knew perfectly well what I was walking into. It’s pretty boring, though. It should be a short film of 45m max.
Iron Sky. A lot of young chavs grabbed their beers and left the theater. Apart from a couple of minutes you can mostly see in the trailer that movie is indeed pretty shitty. The sequel is even worse. It was pretty overhyped and I suspect it hasn’t aged well.
A woman invented the windshield wiper. Granted, a man inventes the whole effing rest of the car…
I wonder if the guys here who are moaning like the snowflakes they are about Linus’ way of conveying the message (not the message itself) are from the US? I sometimes really wonder about the US mindset. The boss is critisizing you justifyably but in an inadequate tone? Hell breaks lose. But as an employee insisting on healthcare, an adequate number of days on paid time off, unionazing or at least have an able workers’ representation? Nah, that’s unheard of.
How about having some priorities? Grow a pair and chose your battles more wisely. The boss criticizes you? If he’s right, own up to your mistakes. Want some rights you are actually entitled to? Yeah, that’s what you fight for.
Indian food most often is vegetarian but definitely not vegan, in my experience. Also: It often seems to be colorful mud. Some parts of the dishes tend to be way too hot.
There aren’t any BEVs with this kind of manual transmissions. They just have 1 gear and are operated like automatics. And I am definitely not going back to DDD fuels (detonating dino diarrhea).
either give it 3 to 6 months after release of new hardware or be willing to learn how to make it work. expecting software to work with hardware it hasn’t yet been designed to work with is always going to be a recipe for failure.
No thanks. I can’t be bothered with that. I’ll just run windows.
Nah. The OS is not important enough to me. I buy according to specs and price/performance-ratio. If Linux won’t easily run, I will just run windows on it. It’s only the OS after all.
I try using Linux on my desktop PC from time to time. Whenever I buy a new rig, I try Linux, as I want to reinstall the system anyway. It never worked. I always tried with brand new hardware -> something is not properly supported -> install current windows. Rinse and repeat every 4 or 5 years whenever I get my hand on a new desktop or laptop. That never changed for the last 20 years.
Yes. Shops being closed on Sundays is a major PITA. I have 2 days off a week. So I have to buy groceries in overcrowded shops in the evening or in overcrowded shops on Saturdays. Or I drive across the border and buy in Luxemburg, on Sundays. So the VAT I am creating stays in another country. Which is just plain stupid.
Also: workers’ rights and shops being open on Sundays aren’t mutually exclusive.
