Sinwar was found and killed outside of his bunker with only two guards, probably scrounging for food. Why would Israel want to potentially release another Sinwar? Why would they want to give Hamas new reinforcements for their next attempt at genocide?

Hamas needs to surrender unconditionally. It’s over, they committed genocide, and now their cities are destroyed. But like how the Nazis continued on for another month after Hitler offed himself, they’ll probably continue on for a while longer. It can take a little time for people indoctrinated into fascist beliefs to understand they lost. They believe themselves to be supermen that can still somehow destroy the enemy even when it’s obvious to anyone else that they lost.

I see you put a lot of effort into this, but Russia is pals with Iran, has hosted Hamas in Moscow. Israel has provided humanitarian aid to Ukraine from the beginning, Zelenskyy was very supportive of Israel after October 7. Israel this year has started to provide Military aid to Ukraine.

The air strikes in Syria you mention included a strike on a drone making factory. Same kinds of drones Russia uses against Ukraine. Ukrainians were largely disappointed by Israel not giving them Iron Dome tech at the time (which probably wasn’t feasible, it’s a complicated system designed to protect an area much smaller than Ukraine), but welcomed the destruction of the drone factory since those are the drones used against them.

It’s very obvious the Israel, Ukraine and NATO are in alignment on one side. Russia, Iran (and their Axis of Resistance) are in alignment on the other side. Not exactly strong allies and it’s clearly two different wars, but Israel and Russia are most certainly not friends, and Iran is supplying Russia with weapons.

Yeah because there’s a lot of ghouls that celebrate the deaths of Israelis. There would be people dancing in the streets celebrating the deaths of Israeli civilians.

When Palestinians die it’s a sad consequence of a war that rational people hope will end soon. And that’s dependent on what’s left of Hamas releasing hostages, which only they can choose to do.

Yeah but the First Order launched a fighter attack that took out most of the Resistance leadership, and after that success they decided to not do that anymore. They could’ve easily spotted any ships trying to escape if they had their fighters constantly harassing the Resistance ships.

So the idiot Resistance plan was to count on the First Order to be idiots. But while they were idiotic enough to not continue using their fighters (which were super effective), but not so idiotic as to not look out the window.

Hamas is a group that’s anti-democracy, lead by a strongman (or at least it was), whose political goals are centered around blood and soil, ethnic cleansing and genocide. They tick all of the fascist boxes.

Didn’t Holdo’s plan involve modifying some spaceships so they wouldn’t be detected? Wouldn’t that involve engineers? Isn’t Rose and engineer? Why didn’t Rose know what Holdo’s plan was? Did Holdo also not tell the engineers her plan? Maybe that’s why half the ships got blown up by the First Order immediately.

That whole plotline made no sense and was completely pointless. But basically all of the plotlines were pointless in that movies.

JJ Abrams was the best guy to do a movie where they’re bringing back the original characters again. As soon as you bring back some old characters it’s never going to be completely fresh and original because you have those existing characters there. But that’s fine, they didn’t need to be great ground breaking movies. Having three solid movies with the original cast passing the torch to a new generation with a bunch of fun action scenes is all it needed to be.

I think they did things exactly backwards. The Episodes should’ve played it a little more safe (you got the beloved original characters so you don’t want to screw it up) while the “Star Wars Story” movies should’ve taken big risks. Instead they made TLJ be a weird departure from action adventure (which didn’t accomplish anything) while the Star Wars Story movies were a couple of prequels that couldn’t deviate much from things we already knew. Should’ve taken some risks on the Star Wars story movies because missing the mark on those ones wouldn’t have hurt the franchise. I didn’t care for Rogue One, but it didn’t ruin anything because I can just ignore it. Can’t ignore TLJ with it being right in the middle of a Trilogy featuring characters I like.

I went to Cuba last year, it’s pretty messed up there. The currency is a mess. Doctors make $35 per month. Cab drivers that carry tourists make more than $20 for a trip to the airport. There’s a huge black market for currency there since the government keeps coming up with crazy monetary schemes which obviously don’t work.

The government buildings are pristine, nicer than those you’d see in any developed country, but the people live in poverty.

It’s a last days of the Soviet Union kind of thing happening there. Their system is broken, the country could collapse any day.

Yeah it shows that Hamas is nearly defeated. They should obviously surrender and put an end to the bloodshed. But people in these radical movements tend to want to fight to the death, no matter how many bystanders they get killed with their bullshit.

Fascists will tend to fight a little longer even after their strongman leader is dead. And Sinwar didn’t off himself, he died fighting so that could be used for propaganda purposes by Hamas.

But after a few months of fighting in the ruins where their homes used to be and without the strongman leader they’ll begin to question what they’re even fighting for.

Most fascist movements just fade away over time, but sometimes this is how fascism has to be defeated.

Both Afghanistan and Gaza are wars. The only difference is you weren’t being sent videos from the Taliban during the war in Afghanistan.

Why do you want the peacekeepers out? Why not coordinate with them?

Because the Peacekeepers aren’t there to fight a war, that’s not their role. The real question is, what are they still there for? There is no real answer from the UN about this. Their mission was to try to disarm Hezbollah, which they clearly they didn’t accomplish. Now Hezbollah is using the weapons the UN was supposed to remove (but didn’t) to fight the IDF. And the UN is apparently just going to leave Peacekeepers stranded in the middle of a warzone because they’re still pretending there isn’t a war happening? Or are they hoping for a conflict to occur between the Peacekeeping force and the IDF? Like is the UN now trying to escalate the conflict? Really, what are they trying to accomplish?

Sure, never attribute to malice that which can be explained by incompetence and the UN is a very incompetent organization. But this is getting so it goes beyond being able to be explained by incompetence.

I’m not here to do google searches for you. There have been numerous Ukrainian attacks on the Kerch Bridge and on Russian supply ships to Crimea. And this isn’t some accusation of Ukraine trying to commit genocide, it’s a recognition of Ukraine being in a war, and this is how wars have been fought for thousands of years.

People who don’t hate Israel and are desperately redefining the word genocide understand this. It would be different if Israel prevented civilians from leaving and let them starve along with Hamas. But read the article, that’s not the case. They are trying to get civilians out of the area. And even if the rumours prove to be true, the “General’s Plan” (which is actually a discussion from retired generals, not active duty military) the plan says that civilians that refuse to leave could do so when they run out of food. Hamas can surrender when they run out of food.

I have doubts that this will even happen because I have serious doubts that it would even work. Hamas are just the kind of assholes that would stockpile a year’s supply of rations in their underground lairs while the people they claim to be protecting go hungry. But if it did work, it would significantly reduce the number of civilian casualties (since they could leave the area) which is what we all want, right? Right?

What do you think is going on whenever Ukraine hits the Kerch Birdge? They’re trying to cut Russia off from supply. Do you think this is a war crime? Or do you define war crime as “everything Israel does”?

They are moving civilians out of the area. You seemingly are missing that part. So no, they are not cutting off food from civilians.

Yeah that’s not for USAID to decide, and any report where an agency is overstepping it’s purview is suspect. If they’re pushing for a policy change beyond the scope of their department, then they can’t really be trusted to not fudge things to try to influence things further. They’re behaving unprofessionally to gain power they aren’t supposed to have and you can’t trust them to behave professionally when gathering information.
