9·13 days agoShit, I am actually building a webtool and thought Minio could be a good part to be a file storage in it. What’s an good alternative?
Edit: I try “garage”
I’m okay with the bloat since I got my Hands on a gifted laptop which wasnt good enough for win 11 but plasma runs like hell.
Looks like I try the qt-community Version. Thx.
Advanced Distro-hopper over here: I am actually fine with cachyOS. If I want to leave systemd, only good alternative I found is artix. Someone tried their new stable release of 2026? Arch + openrc + Wayland + pipewire + KDE would be my usecase.
Sure…

If I had one.

Apple upper left, Windows upper right, BSD down left and Linux down right. End of the story.

Selfhosted@lemmy.world•Password manager woes. How have you solved syncing on Android?English
1·2 months agoI’m a vaultwarden user, who likes the idea of both the bitwarden and the keepass way. Just to consider new possibilities, isnt it possible to put the keepass db in a private git (selfhosted forgejo or gitea). And sync the repo with an app like puppygit which syncs automatically everytime I open or close keepass. Is this a safe walkthrough?
… and it was your fault!
Do you protect your USB port?
Sure, I’ve got my HPV vaccination.

1·2 months agoUptime is really good for simple uptime, no worries it gets the job done. Beszel does more metrics, like a Prometheus+Graphana combination but simpler to set up.

4·2 months agoCan confirm, solid list for everyone. Only uptime kuma was replaced by beszel in my setup.
One of them has to be inserted rectally, but I’m not going to say which one.
Ohh, and another one it’s your decision.
Linux distros nowadays are fully working and usable without the need of the terminal. Terminal is mostly used in online guides. Because it is easier to write a commandline than making 5 screenshots about where you have to point in a GUI.

Uhh, neat. Will definitely try it out.
