Wrong thread
Interesting, I see that is pretty new. Some of the documentation must be out of date because it definitely said Nvidia only somewhere when I tested it about a month ago. Thanks for giving me hope!
Wish I could accelerate these models with an Intel Arc card, unfortunately Ollama seems to only support Nvidia
I personally have absolutely no services with an open port to the internet, everything accessed remotely goes through Tailscale. I just don’t trust that I could do it myself safely
Yeah exactly except for the significantly higher mortality rate and permanent brain and organ damage
I have been using Thumb Key for a few months and while I generally like it, I have not been able to figure out how to remove things like the voice typing, pasting, and undo shortcuts. Every so often I accidentally hit undo while typing, which just erases my whole message irrecoverably since my other thumb hit the next key right after. I wish I could remove all those swipe controls on the side altogether since I never use them.
It’s a pattern that will feel more natural the more you use it
Fiber to the home is pretty neat. I could actually more than double the speed to 3Gb/s symmetrical for about $14 more per month, but frankly even the current speed is way more than I need. Will probably step it down a bit when my promotional discount ends.
Supports downloading a server transcoded file? That’s amazing!
Would like to see an Fdroid version
Forgot to mention earlier, Steam is an example of a real world situation where I do actually hit around 1.5 Gb/s down
Certainly true in regards to real life use, but it’s a good way to check that there isn’t some issue on my end that’s limiting the speed I am paying for
Unfortunately doesn’t quite reach the speeds speedtest.net can hit, but still cool to have a tool like this
They may be greedy but they are not stupid. Clearly they calculated that by just ignoring the issue and eating the lawsuits, they save money compared to trying to make an actual solution (whatever that would even look like in the first place)
If it’s still in the return window I personally would yeah
Except that it will taunt you on your dashboard.
Nothing like that is ever acceptable to show up on the dashboard of a service I am self hosting. Will not update Immich anymore unless they remove this garbage.
For home use I have seen most people buy dirt in bags. A sedan or even a compact would handle carrying those. The open sides can be a benefit for sure, but I don’t know about putting cargo ‘as high as you want to,’ given that wind is a thing. And vans are pretty tall anyway!
I understand that they can have some utility on a farm or something, but the average person is not regularly transporting a ‘couple loads of dirt’ in suburbia.
A van will have more cargo volume for the same wheelbase, be easier to load, and have the cargo be covered from the elements. Those are made for carrying stuff. Pick-ups are made only to show that the owner is compensating for something.
Counterpoint: it would be pretty funny
