Well there you have it, the Earth IS round, can we please get over that debate now uncle Mike?

There are others worth checking out but I went with Nobara, it’s been the easiest distro to switch to for gaming on my main PC. It’s developed by the same guy who develops Proton (the compatibility layer that Steam uses to be able to play Windows games on Linux) so I trust his work. Lots of tools and configs out-of-the-box. Very beginner friendly and nice looking too.
Murena released a tablet with /e/OS, and it’s also possible to install it on other tablets. It’s still quite early after the release so I am not sure there will be reviews from artists on their specific use of the tablet but you can consider it another option.
Edit: didn’t UBPorts release a tablet version of Ubuntu Touch?
Also non-child miners tend to be more expensive

15·1 year agoVery good point. I mean they’re going to incriminate him for terrorism and/or association with Hamas for sure anyway
Well it’s not about 100% privacy, because that’s pretty much impossible, it’s about MINIMIZING the amount of information they have about us, that information they can use in a variety of detrimental ways against us, to manipulate public opinion and keep us herded in and controlled, apart from money they make from selling it of course.
It’s not a collective effort towards changing the general people or anything idealistic like that, since big tech is not gonna disappear no matter how big privacy-focused stuff gets (and it’s certainly powerful enough to crush all alternative projects if they start growing too much, they’ll never let themselves get overpowered), I view it rather as an individual measure to resist them ultimately thinking for me and guiding my life or my criteria or how I see myself and others.
Talk about completely disproportionate comparisons
Exactly!
I didn’t say they weren’t. I simply think that the implications for the average user often get blown out of proportion, because I’ve heard from absolutely no one who uses eOS on the forums for example that they’ve had a problem with their phones derived from that delay.
It does! And you can disable microg if you want like I have.
I’ve been on eOS for four years and I have never had a single security incident. You people love to parrot the same shit over and over

3·1 year agoSir/Madam, you are doing the lord’s work.
I don’t see why you’re so certain that this is a pro-Putin post if literally the only thing it says is that there are nazis in Ukraine and that that seems to surprise people. You are the one making assumptions about OP’s intentions.
Stating that there are nazis in Ukraine doesn’t automatically equate pro-Putinism
Hahah, maybe we are! But it’s damn good.
