  • I just watched Hot Tub Time Machine for the first time the other day. The ending is incredibly messed up. They come back and stuff is different but they don’t have memory of the last 20 years? They just overwrote the new timeline versions of themselves. And Rob Corddry isn’t even sad about it, he’s basically like screw those guys that I’ve built my life around I got my messed up friends back.

The rest of the movie is pretty good though.

I had a much higher tolerance for bad movies when I was younger, like early twenties. Now if a movie is really bad I just turn it off, no loss. The last one was Madame Webb, what a mess. I just watched Borderlands and that’s about the worst movie I can sit through.

  • Out of the ones in my immediate area (McDonald’s, Wendy’s, Burger King, Culver’s, Five Guys, Arby’s, Sonic, Portillos) Portillos is the best. They actually have one of the best burgers in the area, fast food or not which is pretty sad honestly.

I’ve had Whataburger which was fine.

Tangentially I’ve had a runza from Runza and it was fucking terrible.

  • When people ask a question in the title and then answer it as text on the post instead of a reply to the post. If you answer it as a reply to the post then any comments stay in one thread instead of littering the entire post.

This isn’t a specific dig against you OP, tons of people on lemmy do it. I think /r/askreddit had a rule against it.

It’s not a meme, people genuinely get upset about this. There was a post on a lemmy about the Comptia A+ study guide that had the question “What is GNU” with the answer of “It has to do with Linux” and people were writing essays on why this was not correct.

  • Fuel efficiency is a consideration but if you want a truck you really don’t have many options. You would think the mid size ones do ok but they really don’t, at least mine didn’t. I just got a full size diesel truck which can get around 30mpg on highway but usually the diesel engine costs more than the price difference of using a gas engine over like, a lot of years. (20mpg vs 30mpg but $5k more at purchase. Can buy a lot of gas for $5k).
