Hello! That’s my main mbin account, my alt is @Fitik, I also have a furry/personal account at @fitik
I’m just a regular person from Israel🇮🇱, a queer, and a #Fediverse enthusiast! I’m a liberal
I don’t post much stuff, but when I do I usually post about #tech

@michaelc@social.rootaccess.org Agree, they have 15k stars on GitHub, so seems pretty substantial to me
Lmao, might have to do something with this?
I just typed !magazine@instance
, it has always worked before, I might create a bug report on GitHub
Thanks for linking links that work on Lemmy! I’m unsure why mine don’t work on it
Agree, Discourse, another forum software also works on ActivityPub support. Also NodeBB seems to federate pretty well with MBin, does it federate fine with Lemmy?
There’s Relatica, it’s in active development, and it’s multiplatform including IOS, but it’s in beta right now
BTW, you can follow this channel directly from here at !thelinuxexperiment_channel@tilvids.com , it works well with MBin, but it works meh with Lemmy
Diaspora* only supports diaspora protocol. It has about a few thousands MAU I’d say. If you use it you can interact with Diaspora* users and with Friendica/Hubzilla users from servers that have the diaspora addon. You can see a list of Diaspora* pods here.
Friendica on the other hand natively supports ActivityPub, and has addons for BlueSky, Diaspora* and Tumblr (Not all servers have them enabled). It has 3k MAU, but you can communicate with much wider range of folk. There’s also the Friendica directory, allowing you to find interesting folk to follow much more easily. If you want a stable instance I can recommend https://friendica.world/ , it’s managed by the admins of lemmy.world .
It’s pretty dead, a lot of pods has closed down last year and it continues to shrink, they could maybe reverse the process by supporting ActivityPub or other additional protocol, but they have refused, and diaspora* protocol hasn’t gained any additional traction, sooo…

Donations and NLNet grant, you can support Pixelfed yourself
@Sunshine@lemmy.ca Personally I think this overview of Friendica written by Elena is much better
https://blog.elenarossini.com/the-future-of-social-is-here-a-show-and-tell-part-3-friendica/
@amon@lemmy.world Doesn’t render it on Mbin
@Sunshine@lemmy.ca If you like urbanism I like this one - !urbanism@video.canadiancivil.com ( @urbanism@video.canadiancivil.com ), also I liked watching Reece, but he stopped uploading sadly. @FediVideo@social.growyourown.services has a great list of PeerTube channels on different topics - https://social.growyourown.services/@FediVideo/113227422713248989
There’s also Relatica, another Friendica app in the active development, however it’s in early beta right now
It’s very unique because only 0.05% of browsers have Hebrew as a prefered language(according to the second site), oh well, I guess it’s a problem for all semi-small language users
Maybe if those countries wouldn’t attack Israel, there wouldn’t be a need for Israel to do it, Jordan and Egypt have peace with Israel, and there was no war between them and Israel since
There’s an explanation from a different source talking about the same story:
Hungary has lost one billion euros in European Union funds that were frozen over corruption concerns, marking the first time Brussels has enforced such a penalty.
In 2022, Brussels began “conditionality” proceedings against Hungary, seeking to block disbursements because of alleged infringements linked to public procurement as well as a lack of control and transparency.
Budapest did undertake reforms that allowed some funds to be unblocked, but a total of €19 billion remain frozen.
Under timelines laid out in the EU’s conditionality regulation, “the first tranche of suspended commitments” – which amounted to €1.04 billion – expired at the end of 2024 without the suspension being lifted, the commission said this week.
This means Hungary has now lost that funding
He changed Loops TOS recently to match Pixelfed ones and made them much shorter, so it’s outdated information already, you can check it here
