While I rather use more secure apps for following public channels, sadly they don’t exist on other platforms.

I believe not, the foss release will make the app run in the background to check for notifications.

But that means that no one can post any new news websites, even if they are very credible.

This open the door for judging the unreviewed sources based on nothing.

I literally posted a article from UK government website today and I was surprised that it’s not rated according to the media bias fact checker bot.

But unless we are talking about very few non-profit news organizations, you have to choose one of them.

The question assumes that you will have to experience whatever you choose, so without ad blocking, what would you choose?
